Boom.

Team Bromley in the money in the $1k Tag Team. My first WSOP bracelet event cash (only ever cashed in daily deep stacks before).

🇺🇸

I always knew Adam was as good as two players. Hope he manages to carry you all the way to the final now and he wins it you both go on to TID!

Think they are gone, no Bromleys on the overnight chip counts.

Position 35 according to this update.

My mistake, looks like they finished 101st/843 from the results page, but are still on the chip count page (?). If only Jeeves was out there to keep us updated.....

Morning morning.

Yes we bust - last hand of the day - in 101st. We had a relatively short 11bb stack that was going to shrink even more overnight. So we put Adam in for the last level of the day with the instruction to spin it up at least double so we could try and do something on Day 2.

He found a beautiful spot last hand but the cards just fell short.

What a fantastic tournament.

Some thoughts on the Tag Team:

Been chatting to a few friends about strategy. Being complete Tag Team virgins, we didn't really have a pre-tourney strategy in place and kind of winged it at first.

We decided that we'd spend most of the day 1 playing an hour each, straddling the blind levels (i.e. tagging on the 30 min mark of each level). This only changed when we got close to the bubble, with 7 off the cash. At this stage we only have 8 bb. We each have a very different bubble game; I can grind a short stack into the money quite well (albeit usually resulting in just a min cash) whereas the Boy is much smarter at picking really good spots to try and get them in and get a bigger stack.

So we settled on Boy playing the blinds and the button, whilst I took over and played the rest of the orbit. Something worked as we turned the 8bb into 22bb pretty quickly and comfortably sailed through the bubble.

Anyway, I have no idea whether this was right or wrong or just luck, but that's what we did.

Indeed. Team Bromley strikes again. Heat.

To be fair, as well as the Boy did (and he did do well, taking down the MPNPT Side Event at Manchester), I had an 8.5 hour rail to contend with. I finished an entire novel. And was on hand for critical tactical advice. As always!

Well done that man.

I am saving myself for an SPT trophy...

Okay. i guess.

Made some decent, early signings for us. And for once. Happy with midfield and most of defence. Concerned about the loss of Keane and the decision not to replace him and the lack of fire power up front.

May be a long old season for us I am afraid. As it stands, sensible money is on us taking up the third relegation spot.

Cheers for the bump Matt and the pic Tighty.  I'm sure Natalie would have gotten around to it eventually...

Hopefully, still a bit of Manchester run good left in the tank.

Oh.

I think I misread this

My starting line up?

Heaton.

Lowton. Tarkowski. Mee. Ward.

Gudmundsson. Hendrick. Cork. Defour. Brady.

Gray.

SD is a bit maverick at times though. We are away at Chelsea so he will absolutely nit it up for the impossible 0-0 dream. He will probably play 4-5-1, but perhaps play Vokes or Walters up top instead of Gray, and is more likely to play Westwood than Defour.

At least one of you can play...

My my, very well done Adam.

Details please?

And what were you doing playing J-7? Little tip for you - you want cards that match. A jack & another jack, that sort of thing. J-7 is just silly.

It was a £150 side event in the MPN Poker Tour held at the G Casino Bury New Road, Manchester.  114 runners one day event.  Actually chopped it evenly 3 ways but I took the trophy as I had biggest stack due to cracking KK to knock out the 4th place finisher.  Watching John Hesp obviously had a positive impact on my game.

Incidentally, this was the same casino where I played my first ever live tournament way back in 2009 and where we met you for the very first time...what was the tournament I hear you ask...well the SPT of course, looking forward to trying to become a double winner next weekend.
