There are plenty of combinations of hands you are beating here.
Examples include A7, a combination wrap/flsuh draw, AJ, J7, even a pure bluff is possible.

 Stacks are too shallow to consider a fold. Like you said, you have the A reducing the possibility he is holding AA. Also he flat calls and then flat calls the raise preflop, again lowering the chance he has AA as many people would like to pop it up at least following the riase..

Keep getting your chips in in this situation, youll be ahead most of the time.

Yeah I completely agree. With no preflop reraise and u holding an ace, the only hand you should really be fearing is 77 and if hes got that, or the equally unlikely AA (even more unlikely in fact, given the preflop betting) then good luck to him. You cant be folding hands of this strength unless you are CERTAIN you are beat.

I don't think you did anything wrong.

He didn't raise preflop and he didn't reraise on the flop. Therefore, I don't see how you can put him on aces.
