Could be hardware (the ports themselves or the motherboard) or could be a drivers/software issue.

I don't usually play the on-line satellite, but I decided last night that it was time I started. I won a token for the 50k, at my first attempt, (Thin) so I will be there on Saturday, and have my fingers crossed for Sunday.

How do the tokens work btw? I can't see it in my account.

Token should be there in your account.  If you go to the tournament you want to play, register for it and it will ask if you want to use your token or cash.

you sure you turned it off and on again properly ? Amateurs should leave the on and off button to the IT guys
