OK folks, here's what we know so far:

It's between 100-1000 years old.
It's organic.
Not a religious artefact.
Not been crafted.
Not heavy.
Would sell for over £1,000 (probably).
Not functional.
Not metal.
From outside the UK.
Isn't a single word

I was thinking it was something like a dinosaur tooth - but as it's less that 1,000 years old that possibility is ruled out.

So, it could be a tooth from a tiger or something - but not sure if they'd sell for £1,000.  Maybe along the lines of a rhino horn or similar?  (that's not a guess by the way, just a musing). Could also be a tooth from someone famous from history, or their skull, or even their ashes?

What are others thinking?
