Finished watching it on Netflix over the weekend so was finally able to read this thread after carefully avoiding it for months.

Brilliant stuff, and well worth the hype.

The truly ground-breaking element for me though is the potential impact it has as to how we view our TV shows.  This is a programme that's had massive hype in the UK, despite not being broadcast on 'traditional' TV after Series 2 (and the one's that were shown over here were hardly on high-profile channels at prime-time).  Consequently, people have had to take steps (legal or otherwise) to search it out and, ultimately, Netflix and iTunes have had to cater for a UK audience demanding to see the shows on a similar time-scale to the US broadcasts, so this hasn't just been a relatively restricted audience of illegal downloaders.  If anything, it's helped to make the streaming services a genuine mainstream option for TV viewing.

Ultimately, it's demonstrated to the UK broadcasters that people will search out truly exceptional television by whatever means necessary, so they need to cater for these demands.  Ultimately, that should mean more and better choice for everyone!

Agree. In the last maybe four or five years there has been a growing trend of 'box set binge watching', I do it myself a lot. As viewers we have way more options than ever before on how we watch tv, once smart TVs becomes the norm, shows like BB are only going to become even more popular.

Saw this pop up on FB this morning.  Well worth watching, particularly for a fantastic comedy moment towards the end.

The moment when Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul read the script for the final scene for the first time.

Every interview I have seen of Aaron Paul leads me to believe that the character of Jesse Pinkman was pretty much just based on him.

On the other hand Bryan Cranston is an acting genius. They still made an excellent pair though.
