Riley's Cha Cha Cha is so flat. Don't think she'll ever lose her inhibition
The song doesn't help for that. Her legs are slightly straighter but really only slightly.
Not going to win on tonight's evidence.

Mark Benton is just a massive upgrade on Hairy Byker. He has some natural rhythm at least

Hover cross...weave...fabulous. Well done, Mark. That's what I like to watch in the "weaker" contestants.

I want her bottom two.
Hang on, that doesn't really make sense.

I thought that was excellent. He is a contender if he keeps progressing like that. Kristina didn't need to turn up wearing a serviette.
Hips on the side basics were excellent. Forward and back less so, but it was a lot, lot better than I expected.

That adds pressure to the others, because they would have expected Ben to have been down the bottom with an early male rumba.

Sophie was a bit flat for a Rio Carnival. When the trumpets kicked in, she found new energy.
Lots of content is always a good sign. The professional has confidence in his pupil

I don't think Susanna did a fleckerl. Kevin did, but she just did a standing spin. That wasn't what they were doing on the penalty spot at Selhurst Park.
I'll have to watch it again.
Nevertheless, I really liked her Viennese Waltz. The judges were sort of compelled to give nines because they'd overmarked some of the others.

The music is so important for the competitors as well. That tango for Vanessa is naturally stompy, which is the last thing you want.

It should be obvious who the bottom two will be but it isn't, as the voting public will have their say. So...which of the middle pack will drop down?
Think Ben Cohen is too far up to drop into that red zone.
