He posts here now for some weird reason as donkeybob1 Alright, not been logged in here since late last year but still browse Cos and Patrick's diaries. I was lecturing at a university for 2 days a wk and still playing Poker alongside. The teaching was great but it was a temporary position and finished last summer. Also, I almost moved to Boston with my ex-girlfriend but that didn't happen. Been playing 'full time' for a living again the past 12 months and it's going ok. Got another interview at a good Uni in London for a 0.5 position lecturing position soon. A combination of teaching and poker is perfect for me so fingers crossed. Feeling the best I've maybe ever felt at the moment tbh. Life's great!

There is no better feeling than rocking up in a city for the first time, with nowhere to stay and everything new - so liberating.

Met a girl from St.Neots and moved there. He made a swashbuckling appearance in the D.C. game at Alea on a Tuesday night a few weeks ago. After losing gradually for the first hour, he patiently waited for a premium hand and was rewarded with in Superstud, with the as his first up card, which he knocked his last £130 in with. After scooping with a pair of threes, he proceeded to run over the table before kindly allowing us to return to our small game by slinking back off to Cambridgeshire with over a £1,000 of our money. Despite this, it was still great to see him again.

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k. “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi. Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.
