When a man with money meets a man with experience, the man with experience leaves with the money and the man with money leaves with the experience.

Smiley No idea who gets credit for it, but according to a brief Google search it was Harvey Mackay, which still leaves me none the wiser.

I do like the quote though, it is one of those ones that you forget all about, until you happen to be eavesdropping on a deal going down where you can see someone getting completely tucked up.

I like it because it highlights the fact that even the loser gains something and every cloud has a silver lining.

I really liked the quote as well.  But in my experience gambling the guy with the experience usually also obviously has the money as well.  It is a great quote though.

IMO every bookies, casino and card room is filled with people who have a lifetime of gambling experience and no money.

Some people like to gamble more than they like money.

ChippieLeicester?

One of the nicest and funniest guys I've had the pleasure to meet.

Geo

Met a girl from St.Neots and moved there.

He made a swashbuckling appearance in the D.C. game at Alea on a Tuesday night a few weeks ago. After losing gradually for the first hour, he patiently waited for a premium hand and was rewarded with   in Superstud, with the as his first up card, which he knocked his last £130 in with. After scooping with a pair of threes, he proceeded to run over the table before kindly allowing us to return to our small game by slinking back off to Cambridgeshire with over a £1,000 of our money.

Despite this, it was still great to see him again.

He frequents Luton Gentings a lot, great fella, love him to bits. Have such a laugh when he is on the table despite him calling with bottom pair and always runner runner'ing me!

Bergeroo

I'm a technological idiot. You've officially inspired me to try to sort it out. I've been locked out of my account for ages. I don't know the password and I can't reset it cus I guess it is an old email address and the question thing doesn't work. Anyhow, I've still been reading and enjoying the forum, I will message someone and try to sort out my account tomorrow!
