Loved his poker.

I loved his management.

Hale and Pace were a bit too adult for me, but I do remember seeing that recurring sketch and loving it.

Didn't realise he used to be on here

Yes. I remember seeing her on a televised ladies event or two.

He was at DTD when I stumbled into the Blonde Bash and gave commentary on the final table.
I think I was too sober to appreciate it.

That must be about 4 years out of date, but yes, we worked together for 3 years Next Door.

He really is a smashing bloke, & quite good at poker, though he'd not mind me saying that his wife, Bev, is probably the better player of the two. Norman won one of the SPT Side Events at Luton a few years back.

Bev was cbass on Ladbrokes for many years, & quite a decent winner on that site, I'd say.

Life for both of them has always been much tougher than most imagine, as you'll gather from this story, which was dated 2010 I think......

http://www.birminghammail.co.uk/news/local-news/norman-pace-reveals-his-fears-for-the-future-248238

In addition to giving Holly 24/7 care, they do a tremendous amount for Charities, especially those that look after Epileptic children.

For those based in London, Norman & Bev will both probably be at the Century Club in Shaftesbury Avenue on October 8th, when Shelley Rubenstein holds her annual "Birthday Poker Evening".

I still here Smiley

Not been playing poker mainly because I'm too busy with the job ect and live poker is illegal here.  Don't visit the UK much but when I do its catch up time more than poker time.  Off to Vegas in a few weeks though so going to totally blow that cobweb right out of the fckin water along with my sobriety Smiley

I heard Martin Green is scraping the rent money by smashing the 1.04-1.01's when the winning horse is already over the line at various british racetracks.
He apparently made a brief poker comeback in a live MTT on a med cruise last summer. However, not being able to finish anywhere near the top 4 in possibly the worst field ever
assembled for a tournament, he quietly confirmed his permanent retirement.

I have heard a strong whisper Ram Vaswami is playing in some good sized games in the Swindon area!!

Spiny.

Remember playing a cash game with Norman, his wife, his son and Skalie's wife.  Lots of wine was drunk and it was a cracking evening.  People would come and go from the other seats, and the ones who were old enough would double-take when they saw Norman and you could see them thinking "that's one of them from Hale & Pace, which one is it?"...

Still playing poker and acting by the look of it.

Maybe with not as much distinction as in the past.
