Cant find the HH so I'm just going to make it up.  Facts below are loosely based on actual events.

First hand at the table after late registering, blinds are 100/200 a25.  Villains have around starting too (30k effective).

UTG+1 Raise 600
Button Call 600
Hero (sb)     makes its 1900 (too small?)
UTG+1 Call
Button Call

Pot: 6300 (roughly)

Flop

Hero bets 2600 (sizing?)
UTG+1 calls
Button raises to 8500
Hero Huh???

Completely readless on both.  Thanks in advance.

Foldings.

Although a bit more pre, I like 2300 personally.

I had an almost identical spot the other day but I had QQ and the board read 823ss, I went with it and was shown 23hh.

They have a bare flush draw at absolute best. I can't see there being any checks from villain should we call so save yourself the chippies and fold imo.

Fold pre Wink

I was once told by a friend of mine, after making a decision with the logic "he either has this or he's bluffing", that if we have never seen the villain before /are "readless", then he has it. This is a pretty horrible board, there is a chance he's doing this with a small overpair to protect his hand, something like 77 perhaps. There are also a lot of big draw type hands, plus two pair combos etc that would rather just take the pot there. Even though in theory their range could be pretty wide, because we are readless, im good with saying that he has it and folding.

Pre is ok, I probably lean more towards 2800 now but I iz a cash playa innit. Fold and win the comp on the next hand,  or get it in and make quads imo.

yeah I check this flop a lot. You can get blown off your hand a lot when you actually have the best hand. Don't like bet/calling either as he's going to basically lead a whole ton of horrible turns.

Dunno if I'm making a mistake though!

Nah not with initiative 3 way and oop. Something bit higher like 9TJ i would. There's less that immediately beats us on the original texture, many more draw combos and more overpairs to get value from. It's also worth betting to not let people realise their equity that easily.
