Looking to sell 50% of my action in the GPS Grand Final in Sheffield 12th - 15th December (One bullet only).
Unfortunately due to a few unforeseen things (RIP Car...etc) I've had to take a chunk out of my roll in order to cover some life expenses. Therefore I'm reluctantly opening 50% up of the GPS Grand Final in Sheffield (One bullet only). For every re-entry tournament I've played previous, over the last year I've always fired two or more when needed - however after taking the time to think about this, as well as seeing / listening to things other people have said on this subject, I've come to the conclusion that the 2nd bullet may not be wise at all as the general consensus is that people who have the option to fire more then once tend to play their first bullet sub-optimally.
From SamSquid's WPT 5D thread:
Why no option on second bullet ?
I think selling 2nd bullets at a premium is not really in the interests of the stakers. It gives a horse an incentive to burn a short stack and start again.

Most notably; TCOOP outright win for 58k / Big 109 (3 way chop with CL) for 19k
Note that all above results are from within the last 12 months (Other than one of the ipoker accounts) ((PS reset so I could monitor this years P+L - was previously a winner of ~$5k over 1k games @ ABI ~$10)) ^
Live (which have been recorded by THM):
http://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/player.php?a=r&n=186065I will be charging a small mark-up of 1.13636... on this tournament - Reasons for this can be found below. Therefore:
5% = £50
10% = £100
25% = £250
50% = £500
Reasons for mark-upThe GPS Grand Final is being held at one of my local casinos in Sheffield (being from Chesterfield myself ~15 min drive) - This game alone is what I made a living off for the first 12 months of me playing poker full-time (A period in which I was playing the game near daily). Since the turn of the year, although I have not been what you would call a 'reg' in these games (at least, not one you would see every day - I've possibly played on average once a week), I'm still a significant winner in the games on the occasions I do visit - both in the tournaments (rarely) and the cash games. I would assume that a pretty large % of the field will be regs from Sheffield and I therefore feel that this gives me an edge in the form of knowing their tendencies - both in form of the occasional 'live tell' and 'bet sizing patterns'.
Aside from the Sheffield regs, I feel that another fair % of the field will be comprised of people who play the 'live circuit' in the UK. Although I don't travel this circuit as such, I still have a reasonable amount of experience playing with these people - having played; 3x GUKPTS / 2x GPS / 1x UKIPT and other various DTD events, which again I feel gives me a slight edge over people who do not play these at all due to me being familiar with some of the players.
A further reason is that due to this being a tour event - more importantly the Grand Final of one - Another pretty large % of the field will consist of satellite qualifiers - many of who will not have experience playing a tournament of this buy-in level, which means this will be something of a 'shot take' for them. Having played numerous tournaments both live and online up to buy-ins of $5k, I feel I will have an edge over these people who will quite possibly be playing 'scared', particularly when the bubble comes into play as the min-cash will be quite significant to these players.
A final reason is that I'm due! Having had so many near misses over the last 6 months its now time to break the trend!
