I don't know about some of the more obscure signings but I am 100% certain Soldado will come good.
He's a terrific player.
What ze fuck?

most of the signings are good players
imports are now judged in 10 minutes of debut rather than 10 months though
Soldado for example is a goalscorer always has been, when you also read what he has had to deal with away from football since arriving he has done well imo

Quite a few players on spurs TV have said they're surprised by how quick the premiership is. It's taking longer than a few expected to get up to speed. Paulinho is there but seems to have borrowed Scott Parker's shooting boots.
Capoue should be a very good player. His distribution is excellent and his tackling is top notch.
Eriksen came with a reputation but he seems to be behind Dembélé, Holtby and Sigurdssen in that second midfield role.
I've said elsewhere, we need a left back in January and we need to play a much more attacking brand of football.

yeh this seems really weird, his all round play is nowhere near good enough and defoe is a better finisher.

how can you say hes done well though? "it is a excuse" "a reason for his poor form" "we havent seen the real guy" but "has done well imo" seems ridiculous?

But AVB took over a team that finished 4th. Harry took over the team bottom and had to rebuild.

It seems much more ridiculous to me to buy 10+ new players at one time and then sack the manager within a few months because they got, albeit a battering, off a team who are having a great season, that if they'd beat they'd be level on points with now.
Similarly to expect that many new players to come into a side and all play there best from the off is just stupidity. So judging them at this stage seems much more ridic than suggesting some have shown promise. Many foreign players have came into a stable team and took a year or more to settle, I'm sure some of the summer signings they bought will end up excellent signings.

AVB had good players who wanted out. Jamie Redknapp blamed him for dismantling his dad's side. WTF? Madrid came in for their best player twice. He's 5 points off a CL spot and 8 off first place. (Liverpool were 7 off last week)
Not saying he's great but who better is out there right now?

Exactly. We could be level on points right now & effectively he's sacked over one result. Apparently Rodgers is the next Messiah though.

If AVB deserves the sack - what about the 'genius' that hired him?
Mr Levi 501s has; recently sacked Onest Arry, flogged the
6th/5th/4th
3rd best player in the whole wide world of punditry, appointed a Director of Football that spent 100 mill on players that would struggle to get into a Championship side .... and its all the little Portugoose's fault!
'Modern football' is a heap of shit controlled by 'Suits' and watched by the clueless middle-classes, whose only experience of the beautiful game is to play Football Manager 2000 and something or other in the safety of their bedrooms (because Mummy was so afraid of 'Stranger Danger' they weren't allowed out of the house unaccompanied till they were 26 .... a bit like online poker players?).
With the connivance of the thoroughly corrupt football authorities and SKY, the 'Suits' crapped all over the rest of the English game, in the early 90s, and we ended up with the Product that is the EPL.
However, The Suits struggle with the concept of success - it appears totally beyond them that the division of 20 franchises into three domestic trophies per year results in 85% failure rate of the participants.
Solution ... the Holy Grail of the boring Champions League (a competition where you don't actually have to be a champion) - only an 80% fail of those competing.
And as for the Europa League nonsense, what a load of old bollox that is.
The Premier League; run by fools, watched by tools.

Indeed, lacks both strength, and pace.
Both things you need in England, but you don't in Spain.

Did Fowler have either? Linekar?
Goalscorers score goals. What Soldado has lacked in the last few weeks is movement, but that's understandable, both because of his personal circumstances and because he simply hasn't been getting the service.
I think it's fair to say we haven't seen the best of him, whether it happens at WHL or not.

His wife had a miscarriage pretty sure that affects most people and probably why he had a few games looking a bit pre occupied
He is not a good all round player but the suggestion Defoe is a better finisher is one of the funniest things i have read anywhere for a long time
