Villain flats SB
A reg calls BB
Flop
Checks to me i bet $3.75. Villain calls.
Turn
Villain donks $7.50 and i call.
River
Villain bets $22.50 and i fold.

Hmmm. Betting flop seems fine in a multiway pot. I would bet less FWIW probably 55% of the pot. On the turn when villian donks very close to pot I think you could find a disciplined fold here. We have like the bottom of the middle of our range and we might be already drawing dead. River is a clear fold. In multiway pots it's fine to play relatively straight forward just maybe make your cbet sizing slightly smaller when multiway.
I'm no PHA expert but 50nl is my regular game and that's how I would play it

Cheers bro. What would be your reasons for betting 55% on the flop? I was inclined to go bigger on this texture with a fish in the pot.

Asides from bloating a pot on a dangerous board, it makes your hand face up for what it is.

I definitely wouldn't cbet a drastically different amount with JT.

It's because it's multiway and if both opponents call the pot is much bigger on the turn and river and it can make your sizing difficult on further streets with just top pair top kicker. You mention you would be the same with the nuts I assume you wish to remain balanced by having this thought process. But you can balance your J10 sizing with your gutshots and flush draws. And have your 55% sets/2pair/top pair. On the other hand we are playing 50nl and from my experience balancing your flop cbet isn't too necessary.

Is this some kind of hilarious practical joke?

Sizing is perfect otf. And in my experience recs use the donk completely incorrectly and in these spots are very draw heavy.
I would call, snap river and be happy about it.
I don't think comments about our range are that relevant since our opponent can't hand read so what we can have is irrelevant imho.

I'd fold the turn, I think it's quite often a value hand and a bunch of draws would check raise the flop. It's really hard for us to improve too.

I believe the opposite to be true, recs don't use the donk often enough when they have draws and instead just chk call their draws as they fear to be raised and price out their draw. Donking draws balanced with donking your strong made hands is acceptable and a strong play.
Calling turn is a small mistake calling river will be a bigger one

Man if this was Zoom, on the turn I'd be like
Then I'd just sigh fold. Not sure I've ever been donked into on the turn like that with draws/air, like ever. And I've paid enough to look.
He may have just owned us, but it happens so very very rarely at these levels that folding is fairly easy really. Onto the next 1000 hands
