Gone for Alexander Levy @70 to win and @15 top-5 in Portugal.

Cut to 54 holes.

Surely this is the week you scoop Ralph!

In The Fry's this week I had a look at a couple of longshots I slightly fancied that were both available @160 on betty on Wednesday evening so I stuck a fiver up on both @170.

The one on Ishikawa got matched, but the one on Sang-Moon Bae did not.

No further play in Portugal so Levy wins as 36 holes counts as a result.

Result!!! The blind squirrel finds one. Wiiiiiiiiiii

Cheers guys, happy days are here again.

Redeemed my street cred and replenished my ailing BF balance in one fell swoop.

As you all know I don't use stats responsibly at all.  I've been doing the "strokes gained on the field" thing for a while and its now a very popular stat and being broken down into various aspects of play.

I'd be grateful for some feedback on this

http://sportspreadsheet.com/Summerlin_2014.html

It's basically how this week's competitors have performed on the course since 2008.  The thing I'm trying to work out is the best way to assess performances that is actually of use from a betting perspective.

The table is ranked by the % of better than average performance, by which Charles Howell is a God, but from a betting perspective he might be at best quits with one place payout in five attempts.

I'm thinking it might be better to call a "good" performance at least one stroke better than average in the first two rounds and a half stroke better in the last two?

Anyway Spencer Levin has a great record and played ok last week so he seems like a stand out at 150-1 with bet leapyear-1
