Dont suppose anyone from this forum played in this event last summer? It was shown on channel. I was fortunate enough to qualify and finished 2nd in my heat to Hung Luc and qualify for the semi. I played shocking in my semi. No cards and bad reads. Great to hear from anymore who played in this event. Also, anyone know anything about late night poker ace 2? There was going to be another event this year i think?

Yes thats right Allison? Is she part of this forum? For me she was maybe one of the strongest players at the table. Thats what i thought before the heat began after chatting to her before hand. Hung was not that great and finished 2nd overall - £25,000 i believe. I think he knocked out Allison with QQ v 10 10?

I got knocked out in my heat by the guy who went on to win it. The sats to this comp were really easy. I would love to enter this year but don't think I'll be able to get away with calling myself a house husband again. IIRC Jessie May (who knows I play sng's for a living from when we met once before) introduced me as being a "PROFESSIONAL house husband"  Cheesy Cheesy

Sure it wasn't just me though. There seemed to be quite a few others who had rather spurious job titles - unemployed, run own business, work for a church were some examples that made me go hmmm.

Hopefully Mr Trumper will miss this thread  scared

Hello!!

I thought I told you to kick Hungs butt for me!  Cheesy

How weird was it to watch yourself on TV?  I hated every second of it.  In fact, I had my hands over my eyes everytime I was on screen LOL (expecing sarcastic comments now).

The filming of it was a great experience though.  Although I was terrified, I was actually enjoying myself.

I was ribbed constantly by Sheriff - even to this day he has to have a dig at me for how much I scowled/frowned/soured milk with that look.  I keep telling him that's my poker face, but he's played poker with me every month for the last 2 years and knows what my poker face is REALLY like.

As for LNPAce2 - I believe that Party were going to be doing this again later on in the year.  I am sure we will be the first to hear about it  Cool

Hello Ali how are you? Nice to hear from you. That experience was brilliant, one of the best ever. I really want more live poker action though. I usually 4 table on pp and it pays the bills but you cant beat live poker. I have played at the gutshot twice, winning one tournnment and bubbling in the other and want more. Where do you play? As for LNPA as i said i thought b4 the action started that you may have the edge because of experience. Hung made some great moves but did pick up some monsters at the right time. I have watched the episode alot and i still hate the fact that he couln't lay down AK heads up post flop having missed and having me check raise him all in with the OESD. You could say it was a good call but he just couldn't lay it down. Im not bitter honest lol.

Hi - I'm good thanks  Grin

I used to play at Luton 4-5 nights a week but i'm not that sad anymore Grin

I play mostly online now, like you - to put money toward paying the bills.

I only go to Luton once in a blue moon (usually when TightEnd offers to buy me dinner).  He doesn't offer very often as you can tell  stirthepot.  I also run my own home game and get to play some live poker then too.

You should try and make it to Milton Keynes one day for a game, would be great to see you again.

Was hoping to meet you and got excited when I saw that there was a Simon in my heat.  Alas, it was not you but another.

Oh well!!
