I really really believe this could be the biggest overlay in pokerstars history, even more than Isle of Man.
Firstly they have failed to make a guarantee in Galway, Isle of Man and Notts, there is nothing to suggest this will be better attended.
Secondly its straight after Xmas so its cold (people put off by traveling up there) and everyone will be feeling the pinch in their pockets.
And most importantly I am led to believe that there are no cash buy ins available at the venue. Meaning the only way to register is online. Even if they got people to open new accounts they cannot deposit enough for the buy in. "$1500 max i think" and a lot of people who have rarely used accounts wont be able to deposit enough either. Even worse for them is without a cash facility I don't see how they can run the super satellites on weds and thursday night.
It could mean an overlay of anywhere between 100-200k.
If you win a seat in tonights DTD qualifier and sell a piece of yourself I really don't think you are overvaluing your tickets by selling pieces at 1.3. Sell 20-30% and cover your exes. I would buy a piece but I can't afford it, so don't ask!

Good Luck All.

Oh, expect to read this on facebook too, #shamlessspamming

Go on, tell us it will be full of French farmers, too, so 1.5+ is a minimum for an average player.

I think itll get more than Isle of Man, they got 379, there is currently 309 people regged for the main through sats and direct buyins, add in people who sat in on stars today and DTD today and tomorrow and people that show up and buyin Id think it would have to be more than 70 players.  I think there will be overlay but I think it might not even hit 100k overlay.

At the no-cash venues they usually have a security team that can instantly increase your deposit limits so you can deposit for the buyin so people should be able to get their money on

PS - Its wet but not that cold

AS of saturday they only had around 200 registered i heard from a member of Pokerstars staff. As for the buyin I also know that they were intending to allow Gentings to allow the buy ins but that has all gone tits up. Despite the generous offer from genting. They cannot legally accept cash buy ins at the venue.

What will cash games be like if the venue is no cash or w/e? Was briefly tempted but I think Boba put me off again.

Hopefully a mod doesn't ban you for this very very very rude and extremely racialisticalist statement.
