PLO HUD
«

Right, I'm about to (after finding chicken somewhere) start building a HUD for PLO 6-max cash games. Anyone got any recommendations for stats that should be up on there, and what they mean with regards to PLO? For example, regarding VPIP, what would you say is the threshold for this stat being particularly high, particularly low, and about right?

I would strongly advise you to build the simplest of HUDs to start with.
VPIP/PFR/3BET
And nothing else. Seriously.
Add other stats in ONE AT A TIME. And don't be in a rush to add too many stats too quickly.
When I started grinding seriously online it seemed very important to get my HUD perfect with 30 stats all carefully thought out and organised. I was very proud of my HUD and put a lot of thought into it. But actually this was a silly thing to be focussing on. As I got better at poker I actually started REMOVING stats from my HUD.
Also, preflop stats are by far the most important/useful. Postflop stats take ages to converge, and they don't help much anyway. In fact, becoming overly reliant on them can lead to you thinking statically rather than dynamically if that makes sense.

Hmmm...
Well, what I've gone with at the moment is VPIP, PFR, 3B, Fold to 3B, CB and fold to CB. Reckon this is too much stu? Already removed a line lol, all the numbers looked so pretty!

That's fine IMO. Add turn Cbet/fold to turn Cbet when you feel fine IMO.

agg. factor by street very important for PLO imo.
Admittedly takes a while to merge these stats into solid data but seeing how often people are betting+raising as opposed to folding+calling is very important in PLO, it basically gives you an idea of there blanket style which is very useful.

I'm finding HEM/Omaha manager incredibly useful, not just as a HUD but for the stats as well. Means I can go into great detail about where I'm winning/losing and break everything down to find my own leaks. Obviously not perfect, but it will give you a very good idea of the areas you need to improve.

Does anyone know why I can't get my HEM hud working on zoom plo? I am running both as administrator, and have previously run it on zoom NLHE.

Well, the HUD is now displaying and recording hands whilst playing zoom. However, I cannot seem to find the sessions in the reports section of HEM, any ideas?
