I don't play this level, but when I was playing HU with a player they were talking about this player, told me he slow plays monsters, cheks, and  then ships the river.

I thought it was quite a straight forward fold at the time, but now I don't really like it that much at all.

6 handed game, 40nl,

I'm in the bb with   (£37.40 behind)

Folds round to the cut off, he raises to £1.20 I call.

Flop

Villian bets £1.95 I raise to £5.20 he calls (pot is £13)

Turn

I check? I checked for pot control, i don't really like the turn card. Is this always a bet for value?

Villian Checks

River

I bet, £6.50 pot is £19.50 i have £24.90 behind.

Villian sets me all in. I fold.

Would be interested for views on the turn? always a bet, and any shout for calling here?

Is it a mistake checking the turn here?

Spoke to a few people about this hand.

Most think it's a good fold against this player.

In saying that it has been pointed out that I never have a flush here, which I don't as played!

On the turn, it's about the worst card I could have seen, but should be value betting this most times.

I think this is my big mistake in the hand not betting the turn.

And that my river bet is so weak, that he can just jam here as a bluff, because I've made it look so weak.

Didn't notice this thread hadn't got a reply!

Pretty sick turn card, can't really think of a worse one :p I'm not entirely sure how I'd proceed, certainly would be very villain dependant. If we elect to check, we should also be aware that we should sometimes be checking flushes on this board too, as we are severely capping our range if not which against decent players will make us very easy to play against, and very exploitable. If I check the turn I almost certainly check the river too. I think there's a fair shout for bet/folding the turn if raised, or bet check folding of called. Pair up OTR next time!

Definatly agree here. As played I should be checking the river. My bet is so weak looking OTR.

Really don't like how I played this hand on the turn and river.
