Yesterday I played at the very best poker table ever! I won my $10k seat in the last $1k SNG before the event started and I knew it would be a great day. I got to my table about 10 minutes late and I sat in the 2 seat of a 9 handed table.

players by seat #'s

1) older guy, dont know him
2) Rookie
3) regular Joe just happy to be there
4) Chow Jang / very big $$$ players, playes  w/ the big boys
5) Phil Ivey
6) older guy, dont know his name, everyone knew him
7) Tex Barch
Cool Guy w/ multile $$$$, very aggressive
9) Todd Brunson

I can not tell you how great it was to play w/ these quality players, Ivy is the best and he even doubled on the very first hand! Tex Barch has a great game, very smooth, Todd Brunson is just quite and steady and when he is in a pot you.

I went to 20k in 2nd level (started w/ 10k) and Ivy and Tex were on fire each having 30k plus as we lost a few players in the 1st 3 levels!

I eventually lost a big pot to Tex, then Ivy took me out w/  vs my  on a  high flop!

It was great fun and I cant wait for the next WPT in LA latter this month!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The highlight hand was this

I limped into a 5 way pot (blinds 100/200) w/
flop was

It checks around and the turn is the

I check again and Todd Brunson bets 500 from the button, I raise to 1500 and Brunson calls, we are now heads up
River is

What do I do? I have the nuts, I have just check raised him on the turn!
I decide to bet 3k into a 4k pot, Brunson thinks for about 3 minutes and calls, that was a fun hand

Off to the Bahamas, hopefully for a nice big win Cool

Title: Matusow Ain't Lying ...
Log: If you're around Mike Matusow long enough, you quickly learn that he speaks in hyperbole. So when he says, "I moved from the toughest table in the world to the toughest-toughest table in the world," the initial reaction is that he's overstating things. His last table was certainly tough, with Layne Flack, Ted Forrest, Kathy Liebert, Nenad Medic, and Don Mullis. What could be worse?
Well, Matusow might just be telling the truth.

When the featured table broke, Matusow was seated at a new table, and he was out of position to Chau Giang and Phil Ivey. Beyond them, he could see Tex Barch and Todd Brunson. So if his first table was tough, it's not too much of an exaggeration to call this one tough-tough.
