Best of luck to Greek Jack, Pizza Anon, Alex, Liam and Pleno. All heroes.
Would have put money on Alex having the chip leader on his left before looking.

Patrick Leonard shoves 260,000 unopened in the small blind at 10-20k and Steven Sargent calls in the big blind with 9-9

Leonard has J-2. Off.

The flop comes 9-6-6

The Six Max awaits for Patrick after his long grind to the latter stages

Gary Banks shoves 250,000 in the cut off with 7-7

Giiovanni Brandi, looking like a bearded Florentine Polar Bear with a bushy beard under a snow white hoodie, calls in the big blind with A-J

The flop is a beauty for Sevens, 6-5-8

2 on the turn

Jack on the river to knock Banks out 29th

I am standing next to Banks and I can almost feel the air exhaled from his body as the Jack falls. He's crestfallen

Brandi meanwhile, screams "Come on!" like a Ladbokes appalling advert Italian commentator at the ceiling

I would say 7 under 30

Barny Boatman raises and Alex Spencer 3 bets the button

Boatman calls

The board runs out

Spencer triple barrels, called on flop and turn and there is a long dwell before Barny folds to a whopping 385,000 on the river

This is a big 900,000 pot for the chip lead

Four cameras watch the action. Some railbirds crane over the barrier as Barny thinks

Barny folds

Spencer shows

A rippling murmur passes through table 15 and surrounding environs

"Nice bet" says Barny "Well played"

Mr Spencer, it has to be said, maybe 21 years old give or take a year, looks some prospect....

Alex is only 19. Very good game theory and very good at putting it into practise. Also very very solid when playing live, not prone to spewwing in bad spots but has the bollocks to follow through when he seems opportunities, the above proves as much! (Much to my discomfort when playing vs him)!

First hand back after the break Liam Batey loses a 600,000 flip to double up Danny Blair with AK v JJ

Left with under 300,000 a couple of orbits later he jammed K-7hh into Chaz Chattha's big blind

Chattha called with A-10, held to double his short-stack up

Next hand, left with 80,000 Liam took A-4 against Chaz Chattha's 7-7, sevens hold

Liam Batey is out 27th.

We have a new chip leader

Matas Cimbolas raises to 40,000

Giovanni Brandi 3 bet the button to 120,000

Cimbolas 4 bet uber-shove for 750,000

CALL

Cimbolas 4-4

Brandi A-K

Fours hold to send the 1.6m pot Cimbolas' way

Brandi, on this occasion, doesn't shout at the ceiling and he is now short-stacked

Cimbolas now has over 2m

He is a direct buy in, originally from Lithuania now living in London

Early 20s in age
