Going back to basics as that seems to get the players in. Rules taken from the very first Reverse Sheep Quiz (thank you dino1980).

Reverse Sheep Game:

The goal for the participants is to try and think of an answer that they believe no one else will know/submit.

Rules

Here's the deal.

There are 11 questions, if you want in PM me your answers for them to me by Monday March 17th 12pm, each answer on a different line please.

Your score for each question is number of people who give the same correct answer. So you want to go for answers that you think will be less commonly given. Levelling commonly happens. The answer most commonly given is called the sheep, with the corresponding sheep score.

You are not allowed to do research such as Google searches to come up with answers. Just read the questions, wrack your brain, think ‘what would Andrew T do’ etc… These aren’t meant to be impossible questions the skill isn’t in thinking of an answer, it’s in thinking up an uncommon answer

If you give an incorrect answer, you will receive the sheep score + one half the number of distinct answers given, rounded up.

You MUST pass on one question and score a 0 for that question.

Any questions post in this thread (or PM), but don’t post your answers obv. I’ll do a reveal thread sometime Monday if we get a few participants, if no one enters then meh, it passed sometime at work.

Anyway to the questions:

1 Name an original member of Girls Aloud, Hear'Say or One Direction.

2 Name a game that uses a die or dice.

3 Choose a letter that is worth more than 3 points in Scrabble.

4 Name a novel by Stephen King.

5 Name a country that has hosted the Winter Olympics.

6 Name a WSOP Bracelet Winner from either 2012 or 2013 who won their bracelet at the Rio Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas, Nevada.

7 Name a suffix of a professional English football team who play in the Premier League, Championship, League One, or Two.

8 Name a film that Tom Hanks has had a major part in, which grossed MORE than $400,000,000 worldwide.

9 Name a standard chess piece.

10 Name an Eastenders or Coronation Street TV Character that has been killed off/died on either Christmas Day or New Years Day in the last 25 years.

11 Name a pizza available from the set menu on the Dominos online website.

Sharples "almost" gets it right. Still more than ione question that requires a pass for many though.

No danger of me setting next week's quiz

WSOP Tom Hanks and soap question vieing to be my one pass.
Domino's is the worst pizza chain but at least i can have a guess at it.

Similar, except it's a no-go on the Stephen King and Soap for me. Christmas Day? So one guaranteed fail. Not many options on the WSOP and Hanks, but I can think of one or two and have a guess at a likely pizza.

I know it's a poker forum but the wsop question is harsh as if you don't follow the wsop/poker I'm general you won't have a clue.

Apart from the looks good to me Smiley

Still think it should be two passes. Makes it more accessible and those who can answer them all can use them tacticfully instead.

Come on there's Been multiple British bracelet winners and the main event. It's like arguing if you don't follow eastenders you won't be able to name the people being killed.

The soaps question is a little bit more popular culture though. Reported in the press, people being forced to watch it with family on Xmas day, etc. But still a tough question no doubt.

I have no idea who won the main event in the last two years. I'll have read the names at some point I dare say but can't remember them. I don't really play/follow poker at the moment. And even though I still read/post on here its surprising how out of touch with the goings on you become when you're not immersing yourself in that world.

Plinop makes a totally fair point.

I've never watched Eastenders in my life, but I'd be amazed if most here could not name a WSOP bangle winner from the last 2 years.

The question does not ask us to name a Main Event winner. It asks for the name of a WSOP Bracelet Winner. There are around 55 each year, & usually 4 or 5 Brits are amongst them.

I know that.

Pleno gave it as an example of an obvious answer everyone should know. I don't know it.

The British players he mentions I could make an educated guess at. But only because I've been given that clue!

Needless to say I shall be passing this question lol
