Cheltenham Day 3
«
on:
March 13, 2014, 09:37:01 AM »
As I have managed one winner in 2 days I thought I would just go the whole hog and let my 19 month old daughter pick them all for me.
So today I will be punting Amelie's picks:
13:30 - Mozoltov
14.05 - Pineau de re
2.40 - Menorah
3.20 - At fishers cross
4.00 - Sew on target
4.40 - Roberto Goldlock
Could do with a couple of 25/1 winners to get me out.
What we all on?

Smad Place cost me the best part of 1500 yesterday, so I'll be hoping the gods smile on me a little more kindly today!
13:30 - Taquin De Seuil @ 14/1
14:05 - Grand Vision @ 25/1 and Jetson @ 14/1
14:40 - Dynaste @ 12/1 e/w
15:20 - Annie Power @ 9/4 and Zarkandar @ 14/1
16:00 - Third Intention @ 20/1 and Colour Squadron @ 16/1
16:40 - Indian Castle @ 8/1 and Spring Heeled @ 16/1

I've put those in a six horse accumulator.
I'll buy her a pint if it comes in.

This came up on Fred, and I had forgotten about it until it was...
Last week I was talking with a mate of mine who is pretty good with the nags, and we get talking about Cheltenham etc.
He mentions Broadway Buffalo in the Pertemps Qualifier, which is today
http://www.oddschecker.com/horse-racing-betting/cheltenham/14:05/winner
He is headed down there with the owners today, along with another guy who I would say is like a flat racing version of Adz from our forum.
As I said on Fred, I don't need any encouraging to fire into a 25/1 poke, and it's just a case of being aware that it's like piling into the Euromillions
Obviously most of them are all trying to do the same thing, so it's just a case of whoever has managed to hoodwink the handicapper best, and hopefully Pipe has done the job this year!

FWIW - Ed Gascoigne had posted it on Twitter last night, which was how it came to be mentioned on Fred in the first place.

1.30 Double Ross (Each Way)
2.05 If In Doubt
2.40 Boston Bob
3.20 Big Bucks
4.00 Tap Night
4.40 Spring Heeled (Each Way)
I bought the Cheltenham guide to help me out this week, [ ] going well. Not bothering to read it today, going for random picks plus a sneek at the Betfair guide tip thing that everyone looks at.

Am on all offers mentioned on TFT plus Ed's horse but have been on Jetson in this for a while so really want that to win.
Also like Rajdhani Express EW small in the Ryanair and Salubrious EW and in the market w/o Annie Power & Big Bucks at b365 plus a small placepot

Good luck mate!
How much did the placepot pay yesterday?
I did one for a fiver, and Captain Conan was the only one that let me down

You know you've had a bad couple of days when you try to place a bet and get an error message saying "please contact support" only to be told you have exceeded your weekly deposit limit.

Benefficient is my biggest one for the day. Have also followed Problema Tic for a while (to my cost). Hoping the "Good to Soft" ground helps today.

Marky seems to be the only punter I know proud of boasting what he COULD have won, and never telling us what he actually won!
Anyone that includes Choc in a multi bet gets what they deserve. Surely in looking like a boy vs a man in that finish must realise he is no longer anywhere near a top table jockey.
Onwards
Oscar Whiskey. As a 2.4m specialist, he will finally get his ground, and some pace to run at. He has been winning plenty this year, but it feels almost like a last chance race in a way, but I'm in!
Looks the worst Pertemps for years to me. Interest bet on Crowning Jewel.
Another last chance salooner, Al Ferof gets the vote in the Ryanair.
Never been a BB supporter, and chucking my toys out that AP running here, and also risky running a proven two miler over 3m over Championship pace. In at the deep end.
I swore last year I would back Fishers this year, and will chuck a few ew at Celestial Halo who cruised round the World last year until ruining his chance at the last. 40s looks big ew.
Nadiya de la Vega and Firth of the Clyde in Byrne
No idea in the last, but all Many Clouds form is rock solid, so may well follow Indian Castle. GL all
