Feedback please: PLO Tournaments at DTD?

Rob Yong
"So if we planned in a PLO, £250 buy in 2 day event, 50K chips (25 + 25 double chance perhaps) with a £50,000 GTE, would we have any chance of making this GTE or would it be like lighting up £50,000 and burning it?
Will do it if I can get some support, same format as this 6 max and next weekends 8 max (obv no antes at PLO).
To replace one of our 'normal NL weekends' we would have to get similar numbers to make it worthwhile.
Historically PLO comps in UK are 50 runner events with no GTE"
Opinions please, would you play it (assume satellite avenues into it)?

I would play it, yes.
Chance of making the Guarantee? Tough, but you've climbed higher mountains.

It's probably over two years since I was last at DTD, I would definitely play this.

Possible. It's not for me (buyin or game) but I think it would be tough. Would need to be on a weekend with no big comps as a lot of the target audience would be at these. Would also need to not be a big weekend online, and with FTOPS & WCOOP coming up...
I assume this would be a re-entry as well?
ETA: I think there's a big enough demand for it and it is worth a try, good luck to Rob and the team!

I think lots of people would play and rather than have DTD run the risk of a poss overlay and then not do it as an event again think they should offer a £35k Gtee in month 1 and then if it has a good attendance can always up it next month?

If I could satty into in I might consider it for a laugh, but 100% would not buy in. Why the need for such a big guarantee?

I'd deffo play it if it were a double-chance, not keen on re-entry though.

Dependant on when it was I'd play an Omaha tourney but not this one with the high buy in.

I'd donate if I was free. Might struggle to hit guarantee, though with re-entries it would have a chance. Online day 1 option might make hitting it easier?

I will definitely try and play it if I can, I am owed time off. Re-entry is good for me.

I think it should be Double Chance and would play this if I was available/organised enough on the weekend.
It would be great to get PLO tournies like this running but might be tough to keep hitting the guarantee on a regular basis as laid out in the OP. However you don't know until you try and the interest in PLO might just be enough now to get this going.

Double chance format yes and reduce gtee to 30k perhaps if worried. Could try a 1 day turbo first with a smaller gtee. More chance of getting recs like me in it if it were a 1 day turbo
