Anyone know a way of playing the iPad sky sports app via your TV?

Sky have blocked the most obvious ways of connecting the two.

Get an apple TV thingy and it will mirror what is on your ipad.

Sounds ok, do you 100% know it works before I shell out? Sky seem pretty effective with their controls on these types of things.

If it's skyGo you'll only get audio via Apple TV, assume same for other sky apps.

What if you open Skygo in a browser and then just maximise it?  That is what I do with my laptop and intel widi and it works okay.

Apple Devices to Apple TV uses Airplay.

Airplay can be restricted by app developers (like the SkySports TV App), but it you are viewing anything through a browser, then Airplay effectively just replicates whatever is on your device onto the TV.

Someone who I know who has both iPad and Apple TV tells me that you can't stream Sky Sports to Apple TV.
