It appears like the 'group think' phenomena could be in action here. This forum is very negative about my post, where as the 'Bristol' thread in the 'Brick & Mortar' community on 2+2 has been very positive about it.

Nothing against your posts, but lets not over-egg it. three people have replied to it on 2+2!

Literally nobody has been negative, everyone has suggested how you can implement your ideas better.

And why would groupthink be more prevalent here than on 2p2?

Shot clocks should be mandatory in all events over 1k. The time wasted for no reason is just ridiculous in live poker

Anyone tapping the table with their fists when they win/ someone wins an all in should get auto disqualified from the tournament and receive a life ban

Sounds like you play in some really badly ran card rooms. Move up to Nottingham non of these points will be an issue.

Lighten up.

Tell them and not a forum of people that already know this sort of shizzle. Valid points tho.

I have played this game in plenty of countries and you know what to expect from each one. The most fun was always Ireland, although sometimes the cash rulings were based on whether it would avoid a punch up, nobody cared. We all wanted the game to carry on.

2005 Gambling act just handcuffed operators and overnight it also raked half of the grey economy in cities back into the treasury coffers. It's genius. The casino you mention takes every GC regulation to the limit. Chip trays on table avoid money laundering and going south, no multi rebuys, etc...

Cider post. I had a good point about that whole building being a government MI5 office until they banned all the fun characters. It is simply the safest place to play poker on the planet. Which is obviously not as quick but can be fkn hilarious.

Duracell, stop being so confrontational - could you please calm your legendary temper when replying to such interesting threads?

PS. Well done RedDog. Wrong Luton poker room, but I forgive you. =]

Why thank you Mr R.

I'm told the other Luton cardroom now has closable doors to make it all quiet and cosy.

I will be investigating soon.

Investigated tonight. The card room does indeed have doors, they closed them when the karaoke started. What's more, the tables now  have padding around the edges. Bliss!

Made day 2 along with  39 other hopefuls. I have ~ 30 bigs.

Those of us who remember that the clocks go forward will resume at  2pm tomorrow.
