Sorry about the delay in my reply guys.

The bidding didnt go well. It was at $1050 up to the last minute so I hovered hoping to steal it but as soon as I put a bid in (it went up by $250 each time) to $1400 it added 10 minutes to the auction  Cry I was outbid at each attempt and the guy with the deeper pockets got it for $2550. I just couldnt afford to pay that much nevermind any more. My daughter as you can imagine was very upset.

Thanks for all the offers of help, it really is appreciated.

I have tried tweeting him but he just doesnt answer. I have sent messages to a "friend" of his but she hasnt answered either. I just dont know what else to do.

Suzanne I know absolute nothing about WWE, but like the boys say, its a good idea to try and get hold of a contact in his management/PR company.
I've done this a few times in the past with the record/film industry for various reasons and had some good outcomes.

Good luck!

How would I find out who this is Nick? My daughter doesnt seem to think he has a manager though I suppose he must.

Suzanne.

Please try to see this post in the spirit it is intended. If I'm wrong, I apologise in advance. You know my intentions are good

Sometimes, it's better to let your kids know that there are some things they can't have, no matter how much they want them.

Continually trying to meet Wade Barrett seems to lead to a string of dashed hopes and disappointments. Hearing that she is not going to meet him is just one disappointment and then it's over, plus you can spend the money you're wasting on something that will soften the blow.

I don't understand autism very well and I don't know if her illness will allow her to understand this concept, but if it will, that's great, it will be a fantastic lesson for her. If it won't, then there is no point in doing it anyway because a 5 minute meeting at an exorbitant cost will only lead to the next 'impossible' want.

I was going to post something similar but im not very good with words and didnt want it to come across wrong.

I know someone who is pretty very famous and get told regularly it will make all there dreams come true if they met the person and there life is not complete without meeting them and its very hard to let that person down. But the reality is the "chase" is probably better than actually meeting them a quick minute or two and it will be over so don't over stretch yourself to achieve this.

I hope you do find a way to make this happen but its also not the end of the world if it doesent.

Good luck

You have only said exactly what my older son keeps telling me Tom. If and when she ever meets him....what next as it wont stop there and i know you are both right but she wants this so badly.

I have tried explaining that its not easy meeting famous people but the problem I have here is that she is friends with "fellow fans" who HAVE met him so her logic is if they can, then why cant she. One young french lady in particular will post pictures up on facebook regularly and always seems to know which hotel he is staying in. Unfortunately she is reluctant to share any of this info. I do suspect she may be a little more than just a fan which is how she knows so much Wink

Some autistic kids will pick on a subject and it will literally become an obsession and Wade is hers. I had hoped over the years it might fade away but that hasnt happened. Her last year at school she had to do a school project on a subject of her choice and this is what she did  http://blogs.fossewayschool.com/2013/05/wade-barrett-possibly-the-best-wwe-wrestler-in-the-world/about-wwe-superstar-wade-barrett-2/  Both her teacher and I were gobsmacked as we didnt think she even had it in her to produce anything  of this standard. She also managed to get herself blocked from Wades twitter account while writing this as she asked him what his parents names were (tough times)  Roll Eyes

To give you some idea on her way of thinking. Last year we went to see the much awaited Dead Man Down film in which he had a small part. She was very excited and we were there for the first showing with best seats in the house (wasnt hard as there was only 6 of us in there). She kept letting out these little squeals every time he came on screen so I was quite glad it was empty. He had a part playing a bodyguard so it didnt take me long to realise he was probably going to end up dead..ooops. I kept saying to her you know this is pretend and not real...yes mum I know she said. Wellllllll not only did they kill him off but they BLEW HIM UP!!! She let out this enormous scream, staff came running in wondering what was going on and she was sitting there crying in hysterics. OMG it was awful.

Now try telling a kid like that, that she cant meet her idol. Trust me ive tried.

Just wanted to say a HUGE thank you for the very kind offers of a staking in the UKIPT to help.

I did seriously think about it and didnt know what to do to be honest.

My conscience got the better of me in the end. Realistally I have next to no chance of cashing in this so it would have been wrong of me to take anyones money. I am expecting to get chewed up and spat out but I will enjoy the experience nevertheless Smiley

Is this him? http://www.imdb.com/name/nm3809769/contact?ref_=nmbio_ql_5

IMDB has contact info for Pro members which you can get a free trial for.   I'm not sure what it shows you as I've never tried it but could be worth a look if you have 5 mins spare, it may give you his management company if you still want it.

This looks promising

WWE Superstar, Bad News Barrett and Diva, Paige will be signing a selection of new WWE DVD titles* at our HMV store in Cardiff on Sunday 18th May at 1:00pm.

Entry to the signing is strictly ticketed. Details on how to acquire a ticket will be released soon.

I hope the tickets dont become available on Friday, Saturday or Sunday as I am supposed to be at DTD but I will just have to cancel if that happens as this is more important.

This is probably the best chance we will have to make this happen...so fingers crossed x
