Sky Poker UKPC 6-Max @ DTD is on telly tonight.

Hi guys, catching up with me messages after sky, in response to numerous questions from eager poker players who like to plan there year ahead - provisional major events at Dtd Cardroom over the next 12 months are:

1. Sept 2014 - GPS

2. Nov 2014 - WPT 500 and WPT £3000 Main Event

3. Feb 2015 - The UK Poker Championships - we have verbal agreement to do this with Sky again

4, May 2015 - UKIPT £1M - we have verbal agreement with PokerStars

5. Aug 2015 - 6 Max Series - we intend to do this again following last week's success and hopefully this will be done with Sky again

Our 12 month Calendar will be updated shortly http://www.dusktilldawncasinonottingham.com/club-calendar.php / ,we are keen to publish all DTD festivals 12 months in advance and be remotely organised, we will do our best to continue with our in house brands between these events such as Deepstacks, Grand Prix etc, but obviously we must make our partners a priority.

Fingers crossed, yes yes yes.

We met with Rob during UKPC, discussed these at length, & my first job yesterday morning was to start the process of getting Approvals, contracts drawn up, etc.  No rest for the wicked, & all that.

All being well, everything will be tied up very soon.

DTD are simply great to have as a partner.

Big +1 to this.  Amazingly well run festival given it was the first ever 6max festival in the UK to be run and the pressure it puts on dealers/floor capacity etc.

Lets hope they reduce the juice slightly for the £3k, 60 runner events. Over 11% is just too much and to not even mention it before the tournament starts is a little bit naughty in my eyes.

I hope numbers don't fall however I fear they will, which would be a shame as I definitely think there is a market for these kind of events.

That "reg fee model" was not just for the UKPC, it is for ALL Tournaments at DTD, & they announced & implemented it several months ago as I recall. So I know what you mean, but it's not "naughty", imo. It was announced on the DTD Website & on blonde at the time. Not sure, I think it was about 4 or 5  months ago, & it has been in continued use since then in all Tourneys there.

Great effort in the High Roller, 4th, so near.......was some tough field, that. What did you think of the winner, Elior Sion? I've never played him, & likely never will, I doubt he plays tenner DYM's, but I watched him a lot in Vegas this year, & he has quite a presence about him.

Yeah he's good heads up player. Used to play with him although I think he plays more plo these days.

Been semi-regular in those crack-cocaine $1500/$3000 8game games on FTP this year.

Not only do you need to have plenty of $3000's to put in the pot with the risk of them not being returned, but also need to know the rules of 8 variants of poker.

As someone who watches a lot of TV poker shows, I'm probably not the "target " audience. That said, really enjoyed coverage last week, covering all the day 1s was a big ask but was thorough. Is it mostly the TV table from episode two onwards?

Yes, starting tonight, the next 6 Episodes concentrate mainly on the "Feature Table", though the players on the Feature Table was "swapped" several times so as to cover more players.

Plenty of familiar faces, too.
