2nd break. M: 79/617. L: nil.

The earlier placings flattered a bit, as the differences in chips weren't huge. Drifted down and was quite happily tootling along in 30-40th for quite a while. Lost a few more though to drift a bit more. Still feeling pretty comfortable. Maniac Russian on my left has been replaced by another one. 4 Russians on my table, so that's alright.

L was unpleasant. Flops high when I wanted low and vice versa. When I got it, the River took it away, but usually never got it.

Wow, I flop so big here - nut low and high possibilities. Didn't raise initially pre as I don't like the hearts and my mates are likely to do it for me anyway. Not folding A24 pre though for at least a split of a big pot. Maybe I should check-call the Turn, as I have some of my outs, but still drawing big. On the River, it is likely he has A3, but I couldn't find a fold for 400 with 6,000 in the pot.

4th break.  174/265.  Had got back up to 20th not long ago.

I can see Moorman1 is 169th, cause he is just below me in the alphabetical list.

Another 3k went racing a shortstack for his life. On the Flop, I know he has to come along and he probably has loads of outs, so fair enough if I don't hold. Maybe I shouldn't have played the hand at all. My hand wasn't that strong but, against the shortstack, I felt I had to commit for the lot.

20k to 8k in 5 minutes.

Why can I never make a flush?

That put me really short, but doubled up on the next hand. Still short though.

Finished. 201st. Looked like I had a chance a couple of times there, but a few runouts went against us, after putting plenty in on the flop.

I don't have a stake in this Mr Mint, but I really enjoyed the style & tone of your Updates.

Good luck for the rest of SCOOP.
