Ainsworth Shoots Past Day 1a Chip Leader Baez to Lead UKIPT Main Event

Nottingham, UK - 8 May

The £1,000,000 guaranteed UKIPT4 Nottingham Main Event has well and truly taken off today at Dusk Till Dawn, with 419 entrants turning up for Day 1b. Propelled over the course of ten levels to the front of the swelling field was Jude Ainsworth who ended the day with 238,600, just ahead of Richard Kellett (228,700). Kellett had a good day yesterday too, chopping the 86-runner High Roller with Dave Shallow for £68,000. Jonas Lauck gathered a quarter of a million chips with three levels left to play (already more than Day 1a’s overall chip leader Mauricio Baez), but ended up in third place overall with 220,500.

Today’s competitors in the £1,000 + £100 Main Event brought the total number so far up to 594. With rumours of a Day 1c sell-out abounding, it looks to be another busy day in Nottingham tomorrow.

A total of 113 Day 1b survivors will return on Saturday for Day 2; Click here for their chip counts.

Amongst those exiting before today’s final whistle were Team PokerStars Pros Chris Moneymaker and Matthias De Meulder (although his brother Christophe is still going strong), EPT Grand Final runner-up Jack Salter, 2014 Irish Open champion Patrick Clarke and most recent UKIPT Series winner Thomas Postlethwaite. Those who haven’t used up their single re-entry may have a second chance in tomorrow’s Day 1c, although alternates are already lining up, so popular has the third and final day proven. Team PokerStars Pro Liv Boeree and PokerStars SportStar Fatima Moreira de Melo are among those already registered, keen to take their first shot at the Main Event.

The UKIPT Nottingham Main Event runs 7th-12th May with live coverage throughout on the PokerStars Blog; UKIPT Live streaming starts on Day 3 (11th May) at 12pm.

Side events restart tomorrow with Day 1a of the £100,000 guaranteed £300 + £30 Notts Cup beginning at 7pm

Can anyone answer this please?

Do your chips go on the table from the first hand tomorrow if you are on the pre reg list like i am? or do you get a full stack when you arrive even at 2pm?

Not totally sure, but think you get a full stack when you arrive. Just give Dtd a ring and confirm

Will today's seat draw be on here or just the DTD site? Or even the pokerstar's blog?

Assume there is a break after 2 levels at 2pm.  Want to time my arrival for the start of level 3 to avoid the break.  Can anyone there tell me if it started on time at 12 noon and, secondly, how long is the break at the end of level 2 so i can calculate the start of level 3.

ty in advance.
