The Alternative Scoop. The No Strategy Thread.

As the serious Maths Scoop thread has had four attempts and got through about six races and spent enough to buy Blonde a  Forum Mercedes, I am proposing a fun/cheap £10 alternative/addition.

Someone WILL BE PLAYING IN THE FINAL LEG!

Each entrant pays £10

On Saturday you pick three single lines of one selection per race. You can use maths, you can use your own personal spider, you can pick outsiders if you so desire!

Hopefully someone will win the bloody lot, but failing that, the person or persons will have the float of £4s to bet with in the final race.

Any winnings from the Scoop win/place/bonus round will be split equally, but the £4 float winnings will be purely for the last longest on the win part of the Scoop. So if we get 10 entrants, the last longest will have £40 to be placed on their selection they chose in the final race.

I urge you to still partake in the proper maths based thread, as sure as eggs is eggs this should work as a Tikayesque reverse bok type thing.

If we get ten or more takers, its a go.

This is not meant to detract from the main Scoop thread, but the Scoop is such fun, its a shame when its over after one or two races. This ensures someone gets to win something, even if its only some bragging rights!

Just reread and understood what's actually going on. Think it's an incred idea!

Effectively each person picks 3 full tickets, put them all together and split the winnings with £4pp being left for whoever got the furthest In the  final race.

Would be com if we get some sweats.

Logistically could be a problem tho. If we have 20 entrants isn't one person going to  have to put on 60 different bets? Suggest we have a randomiser for anyone who doesn't get their selections in on time. Who is collecting?

Cliffs on rules. You send  £10. You pick one line in the Scoop 6. You do it twice more and send me your selections to put on for you. 3 lines! If we win the lot or the place bit, we share it equally. If we are out by the last race the one who gets furthest wins the kitty bet on the last race(ie £6 goes in Scoop pot, £4 goes in kitty of your £10 investment)

Two of the syndicates I was involved in have merged to give them more options, so I have handed responsibilities for that over to someone else.  So as long as this doesn't get hundreds in, I should be able to put them all the bets on myself on Saturday morning as long as we say all entries in by say 11.00 latest.

Will let the dust settle and pm bank deets on Tuesday.

Hopefully someone will get past the first race. Will check to see if Tote website has a random pick option like they do on course.
