Hi All
For next 2 weeks we our keeping the nightly Super 50 and XXL 15 but with a couple of alterations..
The Super 50 from Sun to Thu is now £3000 cash only ( no included seats ) the winner recieves a minimum £1000 and an example payout will be on our site as below..
When the guarantee has not been exceeded this will be the payout ..
1st £1000
2nd £600
3rd £400
4th £300
5th £250
6th £200
7th £150
8th £100
Sundays Super 50 will be a Turbo with a 15 min clock and for next 2 weeks while we are open for our pub poker league start time moves to 7pm.
Hi, just to clarify, is this schedule described by Simon the accurate one for next week, including 7pm starts? The website is showing XXL 30s with a £5k gte (inc seats) and 8pm start. I'm wondering whether to brave the rush hour M1 traffic to make my first midweek trip for a while. I like the shot clock introduction, but not keen on 7pm starts.

changes to the DTD Big game from this week
«
Reply #235 on:

Starting this week -
the Weekly Big Game just got bigger and a LOT more flexible,
£50,000 GTD and the option of playing Online Day 1's from TONIGHT for £30+£3.
Plus players who make Day 2 (live or online) now win "Day 2 Chipstacks" that can be used on ANY Big Game weekend i.e. you make it through tonight - you don't have to play this Saturday, you just turn up any and Big Game Day 2 of your choice with no expiry
This is the same for players who win through multiple Day 1's, you simply have more Day 2 Chipstacks to be used whenever you feel like coming to DTD, you can even use your Day 2 Chipstacks as a Day 2 re-entry and Day 1 players who make Day 2 have the same late reg privileges as a Day 2 DBI player,
a lot to take in but here is the information on this link

I'm scratching my head here.
I could play an online day 1 and build a stack of 150k, but choose not to play the day 2 on the next Saturday.
I'm assuming my buyin goes into that weeks prize pool, irrelevant of whether I choose to play the Day 2 or not ?
Surely this is going to create some anomalies with regard to chips in play and prize pools further down the line.
Or do people think it will just smooth itself out as it goes ?

Think this is a great idea and I hope it works out.
From what I could gather from speaking to Simon your stack will carry its equivalent cash value in to whichever day 2 you choose to play.
If you win 150k chips then whichever day 2 you choose to play gets £300 in its prizepool. If you win 100k then it's £200. 50k it's £100 (+ reg fee of course.....)
Because the prizepools are guaranteed it shouldn't matter to the players when they play their day 2 although if you have a huge stack you may want to save it for a week when there's an overlay.......
You can win 5 stacks at 50k, 60k, 100k, 150k and 300k and basically play them whenever you like. You can even use them to re-enter. You could go to the cash desk and ask for one of your small stacks so that you can try a spin. If that fails but you think there's great value that day you might decide it's time to use that big 300k stack.
It needs time to balance itself out and DTD have clearly decided to commit to it because if they scrap it presumably they have to refund the value of all those stacks!!
This works so well for people who want to play every night online because it doesn't matter how many stacks they win they'll always be able to use them.
I'm sure there must be a downside somewhere but I'm struggling to find it at the moment......

It may be a bit weird the first few weeks as they try to get the average day 2 stack about right.
I think they've got it right for the live day 1s which work out about 150k but by playing 16 levels online it'll be a while before they know if they've got it right.
Obviously they need the average stack through to day 2 to be as close as possible to 150k as if it's way out there's a big advantage to someone.

Thanks Matt.
That makes a bit more sense now with regard to the way the prize pool is managed.
As you say, serious commitment going forward for these. All sounds good.
