Very early hand in the day so no real info about the villain, except he has not been overly active in the first 20 mins.

Stacks around 30k, blinds 50/100.

Villain raises to 300 in the hijack with no big blind seated at the table. I find Q 10 off suit in the small blind and call.

Flop: Q53 rainbow. Check- villain bets 300- call.

Turn: K, still no flush draw. Check, villain bets 900, call.

River: K. Check, villain bets 2900.

What are your thoughts please?

Have witnessed multiple hero calls over the past few days.
So can only imagine you call. River seems like the only significant
Bet. Did he speak during the hand? Hoe comfortable was he while
betting the river?.

Not saying this is a hero call btw. Just that i have seen alot of very loose calls on dangerous boards that have been good the vast majority of the time. The way this hand has played just flick it in and if you are beat hopefully take something away from the hand to use next time you play him.

I'd fold because there are very few hands that keep betting the turn light apart from AT/JT/AJ and we look like we have a queen. I'd be more inclined to call a bigger bet.

This bet is fairly close to full pot Adam, pot must be what like 3.2k by the river?

Fwiw I'd probs fold now, and I would be quite tempted to 3b or fold pre (still might end up calling though). Could change my mind based on being a ninja or the like, but folding seems fine to a bet this big this early in a tournament which will have an awful lot of soft spots in it.

Was just about to post that is near enough pot. And probably not a bluff due to sizing.
Still flicking it in though unless I get a read in game.

Yeah but 5k might be a bluff whereas 2.9k feels like he wants to get paid.

Makes sense. Especially as OP states "villain has not been overly active in the first 20 mins."
His bet sizing seems decent and feels a little more value orientated from the turn. We should try not
to level ourselves into thinking he is just making a move because the BB is absent.

Absolutely never folding pre in these comps vs a random, just way too much hilarious post flop activity. That being said, completely readless I just fold to this river bet unless I see something that leads me to believe some kind of bro-smithery has taken place.

Villain not being active for 20 minutes must be about 10 hands?  Which is basically tells us absolutely nothing.

Pre is whatever. I just fold personally, but no biggy.

Postflop looks fine if you folded the river.

If there was a way of finding out for sure, I would put my net on him not having Q10. Good fold :p

He bust a few levels later so I didn't feel the need to interrogate him further! But you're probably right.
