All that training beating Ike Haxton at chess must have paid off.

She's quite a character.

I love Jen Shahade. Great as a commentator on chess24, and she seems a real class act. Wish I was as clever as her.

"December 9: Salter wins first €500 Full Tilt Flipout Event at EPT Prague

There was another first on the EPT today, a win for British pro Jack Salter, the runner-up at last season's PokerStars and Monte-Carlo®Casino EPT Grand Final, who won the inaugural Full Tilt "Flipout" event in Prague.

Salter, who also reached the final of the WSOP APAC this year, defeated French player Carole Segoura heads-up to take down the event, good for a useful €4,380 to the more than $1.5m he has already earned this year.

Israeli Dan Blaustein won the €100 version - which started earlier but finished later - collecting €1,850. The third and final EPT Prague Flipout starts at 12.30pm tomorrow and has a €300 buy-in.

If you've never come across this unusual variant, and they're new so why should you have, the process is quite simple.

Flipouts comprise two rounds, each with a different format. The tournament begins with a double elimination shootout round. So, for the first hand, all players place half their stack in play, but for every hand after that each player automatically moves all-in. The winners of the first Flipout rounds all progress to the Final Table where the tournament continues with a standard betting structure and all players finishing in the money."

that's a new format on me!

They have them on pokerstars.

You might aswell just plop a roulette wheel on the table and all pick hour numbers for the first round - very surprised anyone would play it live

Don't see the downside to this. How many pay roughly?

can see no downside in playing 1800 Euro STTs with 90 Euro rake at an EPT?
