Contemplating buzzing off after xmas for 7-10 days, any ideas?

Bit of an all round destination with stuff to do and see as well as some poker at night without being too expensive would be ideal.

Many of the of the usual places are either cold or too expensive.

Phnom Phen is the only place that springs to mind, don't want to go to the Philippines, Florida is too expensive over the peak period. I know nothing about South America, any action in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia or South Africa?

TY in advance..

Ty for the suggestion, but I wanna go from like 26-28 dec for 7-10 days ideally. Gotta be back for work on the 7th Jan.

Doesn't have to be a festival or anything, just somewhere to play a bit of poker that isn't too big. 1/2 cash max and MTT $100 BI max.

Looks like there could be games in the Canary Islands.  Can't be many places cheaper or easier to get go that are warm?

Edit.  Just had a look it is more spring type weather than summer

Most of the bets placed so far seem more like hopeful punts rather than value spots

Goa would be  a good choice by the sounds of it . Weather is perfect during those months and it's peak season so many things to do but a little more expensive at that time of year. Exchange rate is very favourable these days though.  I left India around 18 months ago but still have contacts at the casinos so just let me know if you intend going as the is entry fees to the casinos but I can get waived for you. There should be plenty of cash games available at the stakes you want but uncertain on tournaments . If you need any more info just let me know.

Cheers Craig.

Are they all located in one of the areas/beaches or scattered around? and what beach would be best to stay at location wise?

Also are the games fun or just full of local nits looking to scoop up tourist $$$? I know your not there right now but any info appreciated.  Smiley
