I have no idea where to post this so apologies blonde!

I've only gone to casino's to play cash/bowls with physical cash.

How does buying in/leaving work when you buy chips with debit card?

i assume it's a simple transaction at the cage?

Also, how would this work if I want to use a skrill or neteller card? Just the same?

I'm pretty sure I can buy chips in the casino with my net+ card, given that its a mastercard- but can i cash out at the end of my cash game session with it, and put the money on withdrawal?

Cheers

Hi, i'm not sure of the answer

can anyone help?

(from memory, use any card to buy chips but paid out in cash, but that may be out-dated!)

I personally have not seen a cash out done on a card, nearly always cash, or cheques aren't uncommon if it's a decent amount.

Was always this, although it's been a while since I've had any money on a card or cashed out chips at a casino Wink

Cheers for the responses guys. Any more clarity is appreciated.

i thought that money going back would be a similar thing to a "refund" on a credit card (if that makes sense).

Specifically interested if anyone has any experience of buying chips with their skrill/neteller card.

I don't think it's possible to do a refund onto a card.  In the old days you could 'buy' your cheque back with chips so the bank manager didn't have to see you have been on the chevy late at night in a casino when the casino cashed them.  Pretty sure it's for money laundering reasons.

Some casinos will do bank transfers for large amounts. Many also have deposit boxes if you ask nicely enough. I know a friend who got a score in blackpool one year who managed to send it to another G to collect.

I think the main reason casino's don't offer it is the same reason supermarkets offer cash back.  It reduces their banking costs of security firms collecting their cash from the casino.  They effectively swap their hard cash on site for cash being taken off the premises via card transactions.  In addition this reduces security risk of having so much cash on site as well.

Haha, the good old days!

I remember when I first joined the mob in 99, and was on first year wages. The landlord of my local used to let me post date cheques at the end of the month Cheesy

Was like interest free Wonga before wonga existed.  You could easily borrow a ton for 5 or 6 days interest free if you timed the banking dates right before the cheque got cashed.

Take a cheque or leave it on deposit at casino for future use.  Either option are available at all casinos.

You ask the cashier to 'look after' the cash for you and you will collect on a different day.  They will ask you to sign a receipt to confirm you have deposited £x with them and you use this recepit to collect the cash whenever you choose.

Thanks!

So the casino acts as a bank (?) but gives me a receipt instead of my having like a bank statement.

When I want the cash do I have to take all of it out at once, or could I pull some out to play the following evening and get an amended receipt for the remainder? (and then put my winnings and what i pulled out back on deposit?)

I realise this is pretty straightforward/ simple questions, and I appreciate the time taken to respond
