Does timex turn down sponsorship or does he never get offered it? He seems keen to say he isn't sposnored in any way on reddit which makes it sound like he is kinda fucked off he gets overlooked.

Do new people really get sponsored anymore? With the way stars is going, it doesn't seem interested in promoting professional poker players, and they're the only site that seems to still have a serious "team pro" thing going on.

what player is he going to 'get into poker' any one who knows him already knows about poker most likely.

If you read down -

If Amaya came along and asked you how much to endorse all their offerings, what would be the lowest amount?

Hmm probably less than I'm pleased to admit. I'm quite unhappy with Amaya right now but I think I'm not immune to selling out. I'd certainly say yes to 300k/year, certainly say no to 70k/year, probably 150-200k range

You could say exactly the same thing about trickett. He could walk down the street in any city in England and no one who didn't have numerous poker accounts with the major firms would have a clue who he was.  He will have had numerous firms queuing up to sign up him up before Everest got him.  Surprised timex isn't the same given his all American clean cut image he has.

Trickett does get a bit of mainstream attention, lots of 'gas fitter wins millions' headlines, all the Man U players (seem to) know him and he has a genuine dolly bird WAG to boot. More sponsorable than most UK players in that regard.

Titbeam nailed it really, Timex is a poker players poker player, he will attract 0 players to the game. I'm not sure he is the sort of player poker rooms will have wanted to sponsor anyway, comes across a tad arrogant in a none entertaining Hellmuthy way, probably not an easy fella to work with (I assume, based on very little)

Sure timex gets the same 'local' headlines in his local rags wherever he lives.

He is more American than All American though?

Not sure you can be All American if you from outside the USA, but you could definitely be at one time be American, and possibly still could be...
