This looks pretty bad. Fire and wind are a nasty combination.

Not a response to this post.  People dying on ferries just isn't as exciting as people dying on planes.

Same as the Korean ferry disaster compared to the Malaysian flight crash.

This doesn't feel correct.

Costa Concordia certainly grabbed a few headlines.  Herald of Free Enterprise still sticks in the mind all those years later.  Really think it depends on the circumstances/closeness to home etc. rather than boat or plane.

Your standard plane crash in China isn't going to grab the headlines like a plane disappearing without trace or one shot down by a missile.

Hope they get as many off as possible.

And ofc Tikay isn't a ferry buff.

Flight 370 got far more media and general interest here than the Sewol ferry disaster.  But yeah, we're selective as to which disasters grab our interest and planes going missing is far more interesting than people dying on a boat.  Unless it hits an iceberg in 1912.

One we could see, one was a plane that quite literally vanished without a trace. It wasn't the loss of the aircraft it was the mystery surrounding it. I am sure you can see that and are debating just for the sake of it.

Yes, of course. People love a mystery. If a boat went missing, it'd also be a big story.

I doubt it is every forum members first priority to check the forum for posts over Xmas, to comment on a disaster.

Very odd post.

What the hell are you on about?  If you've got nothing constructive to say - refrain from saying anything.

This is a strange post.  Are you having a go at everyone, or just those that posted on one thread but not the other?

I can't see why you think he's having a go at anyone.

At face value it seems critical of people who would post in response to a plane accident as opposed to a ferry tragedy.  Seems bizarre to me in either circumstance to start making this point.
