How has the weather been Woodsey?

Am planning on taking the kids up to Scotland in a motorhome next year and May half term seemed a good option.  Obviously don't want the weather to be too miserable, but definitely don't need it scorchio.

Not the best to be honest mate. There is just constant weather fronts passing through and it can change several times in an hour even. The wind is relentless so its never warm when the sun is out even. That said there are breaks in the bad weather so you just need to make the most of it when it comes. The beauty of the motorhome is that you just get to the next sight and if the weather is shite you stick the kettle on or have an early lunch or whatever and the weather will often have turned again by the time you are done.

In skye at the moment and can deffo recommend it here, also the drive from fort william up to skye is pretty immense too, went to Arran too which is nice enough but the scenery up here is far nicer.

I am enjoying the pictures and thanks for the weather advice.  The problem is if we go in the summer hols, we are going to be midge fodder, and that feels worse to me, particularly as the youngest gets grouchy when she sees a fly.  Weather seems a bit better today?  Maybe we can just hope for a nice spell in May?

Anyway, I was going to say I have spent way too long on google maps with the little yellow man.  Problem is now, the scenery isn't going to be so surprising.  Arran was never on the agenda, but Glencoe and Skye definitely were.  We did Loch Lomond last year, so don't need to go back round there.  I have also done the area around Peth and Aberfeldy and been to Edinbrough a few times.

I am quite tempted to head up towards Sutherland, as it has always appealed, but maybe there isn't much to see here, but guess we have to go back through the Cairngorms.   Maybe it is all too much.

I have also got the West Highland Way in my sights.  Can't see me taking the kids on that one though, and the missus isn't ever doing that.  Guess that isn't such a bad thing.

In the big smoke for a couple of days. Was sweating my nads off trying to find a pub with a view and somewhere to sit, gave up and decided to get a couple of beers in and just admire the view from parliament square. No idea how many times I've been to London but I never get bored of the views around westminster.

You wouldn't go to Tunisia, but you're happy to hand around the Houses of Parliament? Smiley
