Assume it is Hong Kong?  Maybe one of the outer islands? Chicken in a sea food restaurant?

Was going to answer, then read your post and the sign too.  Love the "accurate astrology" bit too.  As opposed to the hocus pocus we are used to over here.

You seem to have ducked a lot of the smog that was there last year when I went.  You could just see the tops of the buildings from that viewpoint on the peak back then.  Guessing there is still a bit of smog about from the picture.  Hope you star ferried for the nighttime view.  Best 20p tourist attraction in the World that.  Much better value than that ferris wheel.

I am not sure I recognise the lobsters/langustines(?), so definite improvement on the duck/chicken.

Yeah there was a bit of smog, is a bit worse than the pics show. Apparently it's a winter problem so I was told when the winds change direction and the air gets blown down from mainland china where it's a lot worse.

Went on the ferry but not at night, took 2 nighttime views of the harbour, up in the bar at the peninsula paying £20 for a glass of wine only to be greeted by blinds obscuring the view, seriously wtf? And skinted it out with the plebs on harbour side after a quick visit to 7/11 to stock up on ale  Grin

Went over to Lantau today and made every schoolboy tourist error possible by paying too much, hitting the worst of the queue times and not allowing enough time, research, research, research.....

Anyway at least the cable car trip was nice even if we only got 45 mins at the top

Saw some dude taking a selfie with a cow up there too wtf? He actually spent 10 mins and about 30-40 goes making sure he got the right shot too!

Anyway, I always enjoy Hong Kong. Glad to see it's not hugely changed since I first went 25 years ago and there is still a good mix of old Asia still there which is what I really like....

Hopping over to Thailand in the morning for the next leg.  Smiley

What kind of fuckery is this?

When I went to Lantau everybody lined up behind a metal gate, then a bell rang, and the traps sprang open before a mad sprint to the boat, just like a human greyhound race. I'm embarrassed to say I got pushed to the ground by a bent over old woman in her 70's. However I did pick myself up and my superior speed and athleticism beat the old bird round the final bend to one of the last seats.
