The pay jumps are ridiculous though. I'm sure it must be possible to flatten the jumps some because 13th to 12th is trippling your money!

You've looked at it wrong

Is it not 13-50th pay $142k? I didn't see it mentioned that there would be more pay jumps than those listed. And the 10-12th pays $550k? Maybe I'm bad at reading comprehension.

That makes a lot more sense although I have seen stupid things before in tournament structures and pay outs.

Why give the same prize from 12th to 10th?

And then a huge jump to 9th?

450, 550, 650 would be better than 550 each with a 450 jump to 9th.

Probably to make the November Nine more of a thing.

$1,000 buy-in: 5,000 starting chips (increase of 66% over 2014) – 100 big blinds
$1,500 buy-in: 7,500 starting chips (increase of 66% over 2014) – 150 big blinds
$2,500 buy-in: 12,500 starting chips (increase of 66% over 2014) – 167 big blinds
$3,000 buy-in: 15,000 starting chips (increase of 66% over 2014) – 200 big blinds
$5,000 buy-in: 25,000 starting chips (increase of 66% over 2014) – 250 big blinds

In addition to the starting chips, the structures have been improved as well to better address player concerns. Now low buy-in events will feature the 250/500 blind level, and later on the 2500/5000 level. These adjustments along with the increase in starting chips are expected to add a couple levels of play to each event before reaching a winner. Additionally registration has been extended in many events to accommodate the bigger starting stacks, with eight levels of registration now an option for events with buy-ins $2500 or more in most cases (consult structure sheets).

$1000 3000 chips used to start at 25/25, so 120 BBs, a reduction of 17%. Cheesy

Likely to go out for a week regardless.

Sigh at $1500 Razz being on before I can get there, looks like aim will be 2 out of 3,  $1500 HORSE, $1K Seniors and $1500 PLO8 this year.

Shame they have moved the two plo8 events further apart.  The year I couldn't go they were in the same week Sad

I think I am provisionally going out for the 3k event rather than the 1.5k one.  That way I can warm up in the 1k omaha 3 days before.  I really don't think the changes are in my favour here.  I wouldn't want to risk missing the plo8 whilst playing some big stack hold em event  I don't end up cashing in.  Under the old stacks if I played a hold em event the day before if I was still playing at 4pm the next day I will have cashed and if be happy to miss the plo8.

Given I am really just going out to play the plo8 event I can't take the risk I near bubble and am too late to play the plo8.

Other thing is I looked last night and virgin flying out 10th returning 17th was really expensive and I couldn't use points anywhere in June.  BA wasn't awful.
