Microsoft is 40 years old today?

That assumes the photo is Mr Gates - if it is, it was taken a very long time ago.

Maybe it's not him......

Billy Casper, 3 times Major winner, passed away last week.

Lived quite some life, on & off the golf course, was a Mormon, had 11 children (6 adopted), one of whom is serving 135 years jail sentence.

Right person. Wrong reason.

Something related to the Bill & Melissa Foundation?

Have to say, I think he is a quite extraordinary man.

If you don't know the story behind the connection, you might find him even more extraordinary this morning.

I doubt anything you tell me could make me respect him more than I already do, but I'm keen to know.

Is this a clue?

Ahh, it's "pancake day", as in Shrove Tuesday.....

Still none the wiser, mind.

Doobs, are your eyes not up to the usual standard? This is a thread called "The week as we saw it", the week as we saw it last week will be filled with news about IS, this week it is, next week it is.

As the saying goes "ignoring the problem doesn't make it go away"

CNN & co, who choose to ignore, doesn't mean it doesn't happen.

Just because it's horrible, doesn't mean it doesn't happen. I get the feeling that if these was 21 British people, you would be posting a lot differently.

Maybe the photos are helpful for those who aren't very good at reading comprehension?

They definately help those of us who neither read newspapers, watch TV news nor browse the internet for news stories.

Keep on posting Tony.

Hi Alan,

Not sure of the best way, but I.....

Press "REPLY" & the empty text box comes up.

C & P the URL of the photo into the empty text box.

Highlight it, then click the "INSERT IMAGE" box.

That's it, job done.

The "INSERT IMAGE" box is a little icon on the 2nd row above the Text Box. (Above the card graphics). It is the third icon from the left, two to the right of the "YOU TUBE" Icon.

Have a go at that.

It's not like Next Door - the photos are of decent size, & don't need prior Mods approval.

I think photos make a huge difference to any Post, or thread, I really do.

Cheers Tikay....

I found all that before.....but just couldn't work out how to just post pics 'saved' on pc onto here rather than from a URL? I may be missing something simple, but without a users guide....I am usually lost.

It is just a pic off facebook, which made me look and think of this thread. Just not sure how to get it onto here now after saving it earlier to pc.

You'll need to upload the pic to a image sharing site online.

Photobucket is a well known site, as is Instagram and Imgur
