Who is it in the picture?
I can only name the one in the middle, who is Eddie Izzard.
I understand he is a comedian by trade, & an "activist".
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eddie_Izzard
Ah makes sense he's always been a Labour supporter but on recent TV appearances he's been dressed asa bloke and not wearing the make-up or anything.

A Times Obituary this morning reports the passing of someone nobody on here (with the probable exception of Tal Bloke) will have ever heard of, me included, but it's tells the story of an unsung hero, exactly the stories I love to see.
This young lady held her job for 45 years, & after retirement, still attended the office every day.
Her name was Mary Clarke, & she held the fairly unusual titles of "Editor, Dancing Times". In fact, has anyone here (Tal excepted, of course) even heard of "Dancing Times"?
It does not matter. She did her job well, for so long, a real people person.

Folk who live in Leicestershire so some queer things.
Yesterday was the "Easter Monday Bottle Kicking" (kegs, not bottles, in fact) at Hallaton in Leicestershire. Big day, that.

Meanwhile, as folks in Leicestershire have a good time, Prince Harry is doing his bit for Queen & Country, on a secondment to the Australian Army.
I would imagine he will be very popular with those nice Australian folk.

This particular image left me a really really shocked. I think Uliott had an aura of invincibiility, which made this picture all the more saddening:

I almost posted the You Tube Video of that, but in the end, I thought it a bit too graphic.
Cliffs for those who missed the story.
In South Carolina, USA, a chap was stopped by police for having a defective brake light in his car.
It's unclear what happened at first, but the chap runs away (as per Taxi's photo) & the cop shoots him in the back, killing him stone dead. (He fired 8 shots at him).
The police officer has since been charged with murder.
There are suggestions of racism, as the victim was black, & the cop was not.

don't know all the facts, of course....
why couldn't the cop shoot him in the leg, say...bring him down but not fatal?
seems absolutely senseless to kill him stone dead

I can't see any facts surfacing that could in anyway explain coldly shooting a man in the back eight times as he was running away from you.

We had better get another referendum organised before those pesky Scots get their hands on our oil.

This adorable couple celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary today, & I'm sure you'll all join me in wishing them many more happy years together, whilst they continue to serve their Country so well.
Fittingly, they are spending today in Scotland, where the Royal Family are so popular.
