Poole or Ashfield (Glasgow) are the only two speedway tracks I can think have grounds in the middle still, so will go with, Poole?

Just been shown on SSN before the rangers game today.  Looks as grim as it does in your picture!

How about Newcastle v Burnley  playing at Molineux in an FA cup semi final. So out of touch with football I am not sure if Molineux is still about.

Was thinking it could be odsal in the old days, but givin the clue, Bramhall Lane?  Sheffield United vs Blackburn (can just see a pair of shorts).  No idea what the match was.

The only correct guess so far is Newcastle

they are the away team, in this game from 1953

1953 is a crucial part of guessing this, for the competition pictured (which is no longer played) is part of solving the puzzle

you are looking for the home team (white sleeves) and ground now

the ground is still used, but is of course much changed
