Ken Midgley (Ken doesn't look like a Ken Midgley. A Ken Midgeley should play bowls, like a pint of mild and rugby league. This one is 22 has a goatee and looks mediterranean) anyway he has just got 433,000 in pre with Aces, accomodated by Chris Dowling with 10-10

Midgley doubles on a 2-8-5-3-6 board

--

Andrew Hayton knocked out Mad Turk, who had less than 100,000 and shoved A-4 from the big blind over an open, from 66. He was called and lost. As he left Mad Turk was transformed into Phlegmatic Turk as he congratulated his opponents

--

Di Farrell departed when her short stacked vigil was concluded with QJ lost to 88

--

Fraser Bellamy lost a 500,000 pot when his Aces were cracked by the Q-9 of Mark Mcvey to double him up from his shove

--

we are down to 63 left approaching 12-24k

average 795k
--

exits are

64    Darren Young
65    Chris Piercey
66    Tony Hallam
67    Ho Yin Lee
68    Osman Mustanoglu
69    Yucel Eminoglu
70    David Mobbs
71    Karim Louis

Chris Vernon has the moment to shape his competition

Milliners from Canterbury to Nottingham via the M2, M25, M1 and A52 are currently texting themselves pre-emptive congratulatory messages as...

He gets A-K spades in pre against the Aces of Osman Mustanoglu and turns the nut flush to win a 1.3m pot and knock Osman out
Sigh Tighty, he had Kings!!

sorry, misread my notes as i was rushing

nice hand sir, keep it going

Dean Rugg shoves 361,000 at 12-24,000

Morten Varbaek Mortensen calls in the big blind

we're flipping, Dean Jacks, Mrten A-Q

9-5-A-2-6 to flip the carpet away from under Rugg, and send us down to 60 left

Gareth Brideaux shoves UTG for 140,000 or so under 7x bb

Emry Wyn Lewis, who may be Welsh, shoves the small blind for 175,000 or so

Skalie in the big blind calls both and we have a three way all in

Skalie comfortably covers

Brideaux A-8

Emyr A-J

Skalie 10-10

2-5-Q-K-4 for Skalie to knock both out

He now has about 900,000

58 left, average 863,000

i better list the 58

just did a tour of the tables to catch up on a few players i haven't covered much

12    1    Matas Cimbolas
12    2    David Lloyd
12    4    Jonathan Kalmar
12    6    Bruce Jones
12    7    Ian Burdon
12    8    Fraser Bellamy
12    9    Paul Jackson

seats 4,8 and 9 have a combined 150 years of poker experience. actionjack looks like he has lost some ground, relatively, but is still on 1m or so. Matas has towers and towers of chips

13    1    Andrew Garland
13    2    Neil Benardout
13    3    Andreas Olympios
13    5    Sinem Melin
13    6    Kuljinder Sidhu
13    7    Alan Taddei
13    8    Paul Mctaggart
13    9    Mark Mcvey

after the rollercoaster of her earlier levels sinem's chip topography has levelled off and she seems in an altogether steadier mood. the player on this table who has had a really steely focus today has been McTaggart. Doesn't say much, doesn't change expression a lot, but consistently stays in the top ten stacks

14    1    Carl Spicer
14    2    Sandiep Khosa
14    3    Padraig O Neill
14    4    Farhaan Khan
14    5    Andrew Hayton
14    6    Gordon Mcarthur
14    7    Mudasser Hussain
14    8    Alexander Spencer
14    9    Richard Simmonds

Alex, from a distance, has been perma-instant messaging all day and has never really got the big old stack that was such a characterisitic of his UKPCwin a year ago when he was unplayable in the latter stages. still time though

2    1    Aleksandrs Golubevs
2    2    Jay Scott
2    3    Chin Chai Koh
2    4    Colburn Tomlin
2    5    Tom Hall
2    6    Robert White
2    7    Darren Crosby
2    8    Anonymous
2    9    Rupinder Bedi

this is the feature table. its hot out there, really really hot and the tv lights are shining such that its like a furnace opening its door as you walk by. tom hall, the tom hall with the long hair/jabracadara is the chip leader here. rupinder still doing fine but i can't get too close to tell you more

23    1    Leo Mcclean
23    2    William Davies
23    3    Terrance Davies
23    4    Kenneth Midgley
23    5    Akaash Bhatia
23    6    Christopher Vernon
23 7    Zahari Petrov
23 8    Michael Cowper-johnson
23 9    Chris Dowling

chris can report for us. leo still short-stacked, seat 3 still unconventiona from what i can see. possibly, from my limited observations, one of the more passive tables in the room

25    2    Alan Saluk
25     3    David Mcconachie
25     4    Mark Elliott
25   5    Jamie Clossick
25     6    John Haigh
25     7    Nigel Dunbar-dempsey
25    8    Hui Jin
25    9    Mohammed Sajawal

mcconachie still elads on this table. i think he is 4 hours into a massage. seat 2 is a team sky poker player, and seat 7 is happynige off sky. happynige has rarely looked happier, having the time of his life (and he's never felt this way before)

34    1    Morten Varbaek Mortensen
34    2    Ben Spraggons
34    4    Martyn Bennett
34    5    Tom Kugelstadt
34    6    Gulbar Akram
34    7    Kevin Williams
34    8    Jack Hoffman
34    9    Dewi James

ben spraggons from northants won an online biggie earlier this week and is going strongly here. Morten might be scandinavian. Tom kugelstadt has had a tough couple of levels. Kevin W from london who was associated with neil c for blackbelt has roared into form in this. must have 2m+ in front of him
dewi going deep too, which is nice to see. has position on the big stacks too

Padriaig O'Neill knocks out Sandeep Khiosa

Sandeep shoves AQ is called by 55 and the board comes

5-10-6-2-7

Its the stage of the tournament of course, when the reporting does tend towards flips and pre-flop action and the stacks shallow out

so, with 50 or so left

i realise its late but you are going to help me through, my new updating mate has gone and the long bubble is making it a long old day

which two players would you like to see final and why?

i have a soft spot for recreational players, from my background working in poker so i am going to give you two for starters

Rupinder Bedi has been on blonde, and a regular at DTD, from the start. I think he has recently had an enforced career change so a result here would be excellent timing. Over the years he has always had a terrific game and has remained competitive in it despite his priorities with his family. I hope he finals.

Dewi James was on blonde at the start, and i like him a lot. At the earlier blonde bashes he enjoyed a drink or a two, but i believe in recent years he hasn't been too well although is a lot better now. A passionate Welshman, who speaks Welsh at home in deepest North wales (iirc) and has been known to post in Welsh on the forum, if he finalled it would be a real feel good story for the forum

tell me about players you know and why you would like them to final....

Rastafish shoves 280,000 in the small blind into Tom Hal

Tom finds AQ and calls

Rastafish has 5-3off

so he's live.....but doesn't hit and is out

Tom is up to 2.2m

--

on this table Rupinder has 1.8m

--

skalie has 1.3m

--

ben spraggons i mentioned above. 4th in the recent TCOOP Main was the result i was referring to
