The Chip Leader after Day One was a Norweigan guy, I THINk his name was Robert, he had a cash at Luton last week, mate of Henning Gradstad. He had over 100,000.

But he has not showed up today, he left a message to say he had to go to London urgently. He is being blinded away, Big Blind every hand, but with 100,000 chips, & 13 left, with Blinnds 1,500 - 3,000, he may still Final!

No he won't Final. I've just heard he had been blinded down to 6k - blinds are 1.5k, 3k.

Blame The Dummy for all this mis-info.

Now he IS out.

The story is, he lost his contact lenses, & had to go to London & back in a taxi to collect a spare set.

Not being able to see the cards? What sort of excuse is THAT?

That is unreal. We do have shops in Brighton. He could have probably bought a cheap pair of glasses at Asda for a fiver.

Tikay do you think it is right that this guy should be big blind every hand, or should it be done like america were he would only have to post in turn.
Posting every hand just seems so wrong

I shared the opening table with Robert Cooper, a good, good, friend of mine, with whom I have been lucky to spend many happy times on Achilleas's boat thing. Robert won Poker Den (Achilleas won two!) & also finished third in the EPT at The Vic in 2004. (And THAT's a story in itself....).

Anyway, Robert was unplayable last night, absolutely unplayable, & he quickly ran up a huge stack playing with junk cards, oftern blind.

Then he had "a bit of urgent business" to sort out at the bar, & disappeared for an hour, and he got charged the BB every hand, decimating his stack.

Was that right? If that's the rules at Rendezvous Brighton, then yes, it was. Casinos each make their own rules, & what is right here, is wrong there.

Now, if Poker had a Governing Body.........
