No, there is no game I am afraid. It's a shindig sorta thing, to give some publicity to the charity. Trad Jazz Band playing. They are hoping to get the likes of Matthew Stevens & Stephen Hendry, and a few celebs along. Oh, and there will be a novelty - Jonathan Rabb in a kilt.

Come on Dave/Angie/Malc/Steve, help me here.......

OK, well might try and make it if I'm in the area, sounds like fun & haven't dressed up in black-tie for years. And about time I got my movie star looks infront of a camera. I mean, look at my pic!  Grin

No poker game. But an opportunity to raise some cash, raise the charity's profile and have a thoroughly enjoyable evening.

We are trying to recreate the style of 50's-60's Las Vegas/Hollywood. The venue is great, the food absolutely fantastic, the entertaintment simply superb and the company superior in every sense. What reason is there not to come especially as all this comes for the modest price of 'a donation of not less than 25'.

If this was a Variety Club of Great Britain event it would have been sold out six weeks before it was announced and cost 5-6 times as much. Yes poker is great but sometimes an evening without it can be great too. Treat wives, husbands, partners etc. to a wonderfull night out - why not make a weekend of it!! Although we recognise our 'poker roots' the night is about so much more - people who have no interest in poker will enjoy it just as much - get them along it may just change their perceptions of the poker community at the same time.

Jimmy you have exactly the right idea - get scrubbed up, in a tux and get your mug in front of the cameras.

Anyone wanting tickets please contact Angie (THE BEST POKER PLAYER IN OUR HOUSE) angienewth@poker4charity.org.

ALL PROCEEDS TO GAME FOR LIFE - GET A HANGOVER WITH A CLEAR CONSCIENCE - IMPRESS THE CAMERAS AND MAKE A KID'S DREAMS COME TRUE.

I will be award a prize to the first couple to take to the dance floor. So Tikay are you up for that challenge?

Jimmy
It's just down the road from the Gutshot Club. When you finish, in the early hours, at Smithfield I expect there will still be a cash game there.
