Clocks going forward
«

I think most everyone changes the time on their watch and the main clocks in their house..
But when the clocks change do you alter the time on the clocks in your car and on the cooker?

I change them all eventually, but some slower than others. I have only just changed the date on my watch to reflect the fact February doesn't have 31 days.

Change the one in the car and on the cooker. Didn't change the one on my bike last time because I couldn't work out how to do it, it's sorted itself out now anyway

They still have cookers that don't change themselves?
In third year at uni in a house of six 21 year olds we managed to angle the landlord for a new oven. I think the seals were going but the major win was that we dodged having to clean it.
We couldn't get the new oven working between us, ate soup and takeaways for a month before the landlord got someone out to have a look at it.
Turns out you need to set the clock before it'll turn on.

When you say oven, you mean the kettle for your Pot Noodles?

I don't think many of us need a watch or clock to tell us the
exact
time of day, our body clocks can generally sense it to within an hour.
We DO need the minute hand though, for appointments, or knowing when a TV programme, football match, train is due, poker tourney or whatever is due to start.
The correct time is all around us, & automatically corrected for BST, on the TV set, 'phones, computers, websites, everything. It's hard NOT to know the time.

Every clock. Great fun to be had, twice a year.

A clock is pointless unless it tells the correct time. May as well set it correctly.

Not at all, we only need to know the minutes, we don't need a timepiece to know the hour.
