Another tremendous performance by Simon.

In every way, shape & form, he is a credit to poker, especially UK poker.

Recovered a bit now.... had a sore head first thing.

So glad for Simon but Obv gutted at the same time.

Was on the rail from 7 handed and I feel very privileged to have been so, he's such a nice guy and the rail was my first but pretty epic!
We had some chants scripted on Frasers IPAD and everyone got involved.  A couple of side games betting $100/card as each person in pics a single card in the deck.

Just wanted to say congratulations again and thanks to everyone involved in the rail!!!

" THE NIGHT ON THE RAIL "

It all started quietly , think I was one of the first to bust my tournament so with 2 tables left it was myself and Shola railing with Alex joining us an hour later.Simon was playing is A game slowly accruing chips whilst players started to fall by the wayside. More people started to arrive including Cos ,Ryan and his team of house mates .

Eventually it was down to seven handed so effectively the final table was set with 7 playing a 6 max final.

A dinner break was called whilst they arranged the feature thunder table. We all desended on the nearby Starbucks and was joined by Keith and Pads and a few more and in our search for susstinance started drinking bottles of corona ( never knew they sold beer ☺)

After 50 minutes we wished Simon well and the game was on. We took our seats in the "thunder dome "  our rail started to swell and the coronas and lime were in plentiful supply.Obviously with our degen tendencies we had to get a gambling game going so it the "pick a card and if it comes on the flop turn or river "you were either paid $100 by each participant or you had to pay them.

The scene was set .....a great final table featuring our hero, more beer than a brewery , side bets a rowdy uk rail now featuring various late arrivals Stato, Mitch, Ludo, Ollie Price , Adam Sharplea and of course " our cheer leader and captain" Mr John Black

Action started and although we were obviously shouting for Simon there were 9 ish players at any given time shouting for there card on every flop.."10 of Clubs ,4 clubs  5 of diamonds" etc  which was borderline hilarious in itself especially with the Americans looking across at us.This was all we needed to get the songs going, as Shaun Deeb walk passed he was greeted with a chant of "you're too old for the summer camp" which went down particularly well with the crowd and got a thumbs up and a laugh from Mercier. This was followed by our scripted offering from the "deadman book of final table chants"  (to the tune of son of a father)
"Oh Simon Simon.....If you mess with Simon.....then you're a Deadman" ☺followed by our next drunken composition of ( to the tune of" when the saints")  " Oh when the dead goes marching in....Oh when the dead goes marching in ...you need to get out of our way ...Our we'll bash you in the chin" ☺ genius right ? (Copyright of Fraser and John Black enterprises)

The beers were now coming out of no where and spirits on our Brit rail were high.... $100 bills were exchanging hands quicker than Full Tilt Shares on Black Friday. 7 players became 6 and then 5 with each ladder getting a loud roar from the rail

Our next offering aimed at Shaun Deeb ... ( to the tune knees up mother brown ) " Shauns on Jason Rail....It's an epic fail.... playing open chinese face...its not cool its a disgrace".☺...followed by "Simon .....wiggle your scarf, ....Simon Simon wiggle your scarf"  and the classic....."Jason get the beers in....Jason get the beers in....nah nah nah nah"

More beers were arriving and then a key hand....With 3 players left and Jason leading on chips Simon and the other player went heads up to the flop after pre flop action. ...The flop  j 7 3....All in and a call...Simon is behind with the j 10 against the KG

The rail is screaming for a 10 ......turn cards a brick....The noise intensifies as the river beckons   " 10 10 10 10 10 10 10" the rail chants.....The river card.....10 of diamonds in the window....BINGO....The rail goes wild ....insane scenes....lager everywhere...lots of it in my ear...The noise is ridiculous. .everybody going wild ...although Alex and Pads are looking a little unhappy having not hit any of their cards in the prop bets

More songs more beers....We move to be behind Simon for the heads up only to be told the bar is now closed....its 3 30 in the morning

Heads up commences more songs and then the vital had that proves  fatal for Simon....Jasons 66 versus Simons KQ

All in and a call and Simon fails to improve even though there was a     j 10 x flop

It's all over the players shake hands and there are hugs all round

Mercier and Deeb congratulate the English rail and suggest we attend their next  final tables these guys really took our verbals well all day so maximum respect goes out

I was like most .wasted however we all managed to make it to TGis  for a 4 30 am breakfast

Simon was a tad disappointed not to win the bracelet but acknowledged his good fortune especially with the j 10 plus Jason obviously played a great game.

And finally....Very well played Simon....you did us proud

What an amazing rail and a great night   !!!  😀

Definitely need to go easy on the beers in Vegas.  Beer goggles at 4am and you don't know who you could end up with.
