Gary Rowett has been relived of his duties as manager of Birmingham Resigned or sacked? going to be in huge demand, very up and coming manager.

If he was actually fired then this is a joke. We punched way above our weight with him in charge. Awful news...

Has to be non football related unless the club owners realise how much he run like god and knew it wasn't going to continue results wise like it has.

he's got the club top six-ish at a time when the club had to cut costs. running well or not, thats a great achievement
he's apparently been expecting £10m plus in Jan to kick the club on to the next stage
Chinese owners apparently have their eye on Zola
Rowett will walk into the next QPR-Wolves (the most recent vacancies) type opportunity that comes along

I'm gutted.
Agree. Next of the bigger/higher champ clubs who change managers should snap him up.

freeth at 365 tweeted 2/5 his next job will be in the championship. 15/8 EPL. 20/1 any other league. Surely 2/5 is buying money?

He surely would be in the running for a crack at the Palace job?

He surely would be in the running for a crack at the Palace job? Can't see any EPL possibly taking a chance on him at this moment in time. Far too big a step dealing with guys earning more than £5k a week which is his only experience so far.

Big result for Wednesday there.
For all their quality I thought Newcastle were disappointing. Constantly more concerned with getting free kicks.
And Ritchie's double dive in the penalty area was shambolic. How the fook do the officials not see that and book him?

Sheff wed were the better team, looked more dangerous and had the better chances. sheff wed were a bit negative with loads of unnecessary fouls especially on gayle nowhere near goal and it made the game a bit boring, especially as newcastle were gifting the ball if you just wait. Surprised they have a bad record against better teams as they look so dangerous on the break (we were lucky they had the mackem reject). Dont know why teams dont have more of a go at newcastle as they are wide open with one pass. Both keepers did their reps the world of good.
