One that surprised me recently when I read up about him.....the guy who has the boxing catch phrase ''Let's get ready to rumble''. Think he was worth $300m when I looked. His (presumably less wealthy) brother has a similar gig in UFC.
Nice work if you can get it.

Utter dick.
Did he make his money as an announcer or is he wealthy some other way?

Can you profile Julia Louis-Dreyfus without mentioning VEEP?

1.01 he copyrighted that LGRTR phrase and prints money off that.

Seems his catchphrase has got him the lot! He had it trademarked in 1992, and obviously it has appeared in many things from adverts to albums to computer games. Been announcing boxing matches since the early 80's (plus for a few years in WCW), so I'm sure that has pocketed him a fair few quid, but seems the bulk of his wealth is due to that 5 word sentence ultimately.
Michael Buffer is his name fwiw.

Aye I remember seeing that a while back, certainly raised my eyebrow. Fair play to him though for making himself a nearly 'indispensable brand' at big fights.

I remember the geezer who used to do the intros for the snooker players thought of himself as a "nearly 'indispensable brand'".
So he asked Barry Hearn for a pay rise.
He soon found out he wasn't as indispensable as he thought he was.

Hence double fair play to Buffer for making a fortune out of a random opportunity that was presented to him.
